Peter Fonda Joins The REVOLUTION!!

Peter Fonda has joined the cast of the Sci Fi Channel's REVOLUTION.

Oscar nominee Fonda plays the patriarch grandfather of the Hart family, which has taken over "New America," a planet 50 light years from Earth.

The two hour movie/pilot is described by a press release as...

...the sweeping story of 'New America,' a distant colony on an Earth-like planet struggling for its independence from an increasingly hostile homeland.


The pilot is directed by Simon West (CON-AIR, LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER), who is also an Executive Producer on the project.

    Also, the Variety report calls for the "United State of America"? Another Bushism...You can't have a united state, wouldn't then be like the UK, or Germany....not like Canada, with the 10 providences and 3 territories.

    The more hopeless this country and world become, the more a show like this might appeal to me. Granted, coming from Hollywood, they'll end up missing the point and turn this new planet into a socialist paradise or some shit. Although, that might be keeping in tradition with many of the crap sci-fi novels out there. I'm hoping for more of the individualist Firefly vibe.
