Bishop wasn't around for days of Future Past. he did come from an alternate, dystopic future, but a different one.but yeah, there is a LOT going on here. Mojo and Project Wide Awake and Genosha (sp?). seems kind of like the Wolverine live action movie. toss in a whole lot of story fragments and hope folks like it. and maybe we will.

read Astonishing X-Men and there is no way you'd call Cyclops a douche. the movies didn't care about his character at all, and now neither do 98% of people who know about the X-Men. kind of sad, really.

    This Looks Good

    by theeleventhdoctor

I'm looking forward to seeing this. The team of X-Men for the series seems rather expansive though. Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Shadowcat, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue, White Queen, Angel, Iceman, Beast, Cannonball... I love the characters, don't get me wrong, but you know that in a half hour show, a lot of them will get the short shrift.

    by theycallmemrglass

First with their stunning comic hero animation films: Dr Strange, The Invincible Iron Man, The Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2. Then with their live action ventures starting with Iron Man. This studio rocks hard as Pixar did.

He's been overexposed in the comics and the films. And now in the cartoon series as well. He needs to be put to rest for a few years, he's lost all his mystery and edge and is almost self-parody.

    A couple of things...

    by theeleventhdoctor

First of all, Claremont did the "dark future" thing 25 years ago. HEROES ripped that off. Second of all, after the House of M storyline, Wolverine got all of his memories back. He knows his past, there isn't anything left to agonize over. They, y'know, moved the character forward. I know, that's almost unheard of in comics these days, but 30 years of whining and bitching about not knowing where he's from wore thin as fuck.

I hate to say it, but this is one of those times I wish they'd leave those stories alone. The kids should read those comics, maybe find out why the x-men are so popular in the first place.

THE RANT TO END ALL RANTS!

    by err

I swear to friggin god that I am sick and tired of this Wolverine bull crap. First off, Wolverine is the leader? You've got to be friggin kidding me. Wolverine is one of the most boring, most over saturated characters in comicdom. I think he currently appears in 5000 different comic books, even some of DCs comics. Secondly, has Marvel learned absolutely nothing? The fan reaction to Cyclops in the movies was nothing short of people wishing death on them for the misuse of Cyclops and *gasp* big surprise, Marvel's doing it again. I would say that this series has promise but you know what, it looks exactly like X-Men Evolution. Exactly. It looks like they decided to redo the third and fourth seasons of X-Men Evolution and reboot. We'll call it Wolverine and the X-Men and no one will be the wiser. Well, we are. This crappy ass cartoon along with the horrible "Next Avengers" movie coming out makes me want to crack Joe Al-Quesada's skull. The fact that Wolverine gets a genuine look of concern on his face when a bomb hits Xavier is laughable. You really think Wolverine would have that genuine concern for Xavier? Even if he did, he wouldn't show it like that. He would get pissed and start ripping things to shred. This is a laughable joke of a cartoon. I would rather be hooked up to a machine and watch every Michael Bay and Uwe Boll film constantly for the rest of my life then endure this crap. I would rather be hooked up to a machine like that guy in Clockwork Orange than sit through this. You also want to know how you know others think this is crap, by the fact that Marvel is putting this on Nicktoons. Not the WB and not Cartoon Network. It is utter shit. Marvel, you fail at cartoons ever since the 90s. X-Men Evolution sucked. That's why it ended after 4 seasons. Your misuse of characters in the movies reflects in your box office and fan reaction. Your misuse of characters in comics is pathetic. And the skrull invasion? Whoopdee friggin do. No one cares. So what if everyone is a skrull, I don't care. I have no reason to care for the fact that everyone is a skrull. I hate you all and wish that you all would get your act together.

    by panthermatt

Try decaf for a few weeks, okay? Fact is, NO Marvel cartoon has ever been "great". Just because you were a kid when Evolution aired, and were impressed by it, doesn't mean it was great. I was a kid when Spider Man and his Amazing Friends aired, and I loved it. I can admit now, however, that it was crap, though. Half hour cartoons for kids will NEVER EVER EVER be as good as the ongoing comics, because the comics have much more time for depth and development, and the cartoons are aimed at kids. Watch it or not, but spare us all the vitriol, okay?

And yet GEnosia as Magneto's haven,A global plan to combat the Mutant question, The X-Men tearing themselves apart so in essence their is no team. Does any one else think that they are just coppying all the good (and in some cases just plain bad) story lines from from the comics sence XME went off the air. by rufferto

It sounds more like the 90's one. I could do without the Ian Mcellan wannabe for Magneto though. I just found the 90's Magneto to have a very powerful voice. I can tel whoever casted them at least knows what they are doing so I appreciate that. It's nice to see so many characters and to see that this will be treated a little more adult then previous Marvel and DC animation.

If the promo materials are any indication (it wouldn't serve much purpose otherwise, would it?) Colossus is on the show. As for the title, it makes a certain amount of sense. Wolverine IS the flagship character for the franchise and has been for twenty-some years. There is also a Wolverine movie being released next Summer, so to build off of that is a smart strategy.
