    Define geek!

    by bigbruddah

Now I really would like to see a definition of the word geek. I mean does it exclude anything that isn't sci-fi, horror, cop show, fantasy, weird costumes, comics, stamp collections... and so on an' on an' on, if you get my drift. It seems there's a lot of things that can be considered geekish. Who's to say that you can't be a Melrose-geek? You don't necessarily have to like the show but I do as well as I like B5, Star Trek in all its incarnations and much much more. I submit that a geek (remember the word itself is supposed to be an insulting one) is someone who is heavily into something, be that a TV show or knitting f'rchrissakes. So much so that a judgemental environment feels a need to denominate that person as a geek and his/hers interest as geekish. Now then us geeks can take that word back and turn it into a giggling kind of positive. I suspect a Melrose geek like myself will have to do just that on this here talkback. I luv that Melrose Place. And I'll miss Heather Locklears Amanda Woodward creation A LOT!!! As for the series finale, it ended well for Michael, Eve got to throw ashes of human remains on Lexi and Amanda and Peter ended up on an island in the middle of a sunny nowhere that will have them bored pretty darn quickly which should be good enough to bring 'em back for a reunion movie. That's everything a melrosian can hope for. Ye Gads!

    Jamie Luner

    by captainberryman

I hated Melrose Place...but BY THE GODS Jamie Luner makes me feel all tingly. And she was like half naked the whole damn show! PONCHIWAWA!! I haven't been that excited over a woman since Debbie Boone sang "You Light Up My Life." (Don't ask.) I am glad she has another series coming out because she puts filthy, disgusting and ultimately UNWHOLESOME thoughts in my head. Also I am glad to see that stank crack whore Heather Locklear off of series t.v. There's your popular demand...The demand to see more of Jamie Luner's flesh in bikinis. End Transmission.

That eternal quest for power and lust

    by ellington

I want to take this opportunity to thank Darren Star (the creator) and Aaron Spelling (the producer) for that wonderfull Place called Melrose. I LOVED IT !! I am a male of 28 years old and I LOVED MP!! I regret this 'divorce' and consider it the end of a beautiful period. The pool-water that they're selling right now is like holy water to me (although it smells a bit fanny?!). I think a dedicated fan is also a geek, that word is not only reserved to the world of sci-fi or horror. It's great that AICN Coaxial is kind enough to make room for ALL SORTS OF FANS!!
There must be more male soap-watchers just like me (come out of the closet, guys!). I used to follow Dynasty and Dallas, MP is the 90's version of that eternal quest for power and lust. I'm visiting L.A. this summer and I'll stop over in Melrose Avenue to take pictures. Then my mission is accomplished, good-bye my lovely Melrose !!! Yours, Frank.
