Hey folks, Harry here... Our good buddy over at JoBlo.Com have scored the latest WATCHMEN Video Journal - this time with Costume Designer - Michael Wilkinson - taking us through the periods and looks that they're trying to get across in this epic of a Comic Book film. You know - the other day I was in Austin Books here in Austin and an old friend that used to buy a lot of Golden Age from me back in my days as a "dealer" - and he came up talking to me about how he's given up all hope for Comic Book films - that the pictures from WATCHMEN has made him sick of "Rubber Suits" - and frankly... I found myself getting pissed at him. I didn't blow up at him, I just moved along - I was more anxious to buy a couple of key issues I've been wanting... but it got me to thinking. Is he fucking retarded? Seriously. I can see making that comment about Dark Knight... I am not a fan of the rubber Batman suits. But those first shots of the WATCHMEN costumes were pretty dead on. And there's all sorts of fabrics, metals, leather and stuff other than "Rubber" in there. Not just that, but that the costumes actually LOOK LIKE THE SUPERHERO COSTUMES THEY"RE SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE... well, that's fucking cool.

And now I wonder what he'll say once his priggy bitchy ass sees this clip. Here, where you'll see them matching the costumes not only to the eras and the fabrics depicted in the film... but also the styles and looks of the illustrations in the actual comic. Yeah, let's just blow this fucker off as BS rubber crap. Sorry. I'm just thrilled by what I'm seeing on WATCHMEN. Of course - if... Warner willing... we see a WATCHMEN trailer on DARK KNIGHT... I hope it literally fries the minds of fandom. It's time to see this stuff moving, speaking and kicking our ass... as it should. Here's the latest Journal, good work JoBlo!!!
