AICN, KIDS CLUB & FANTASTIC FEST presents SPEED RACER screening this Monday - Free w/ Child... any Child! A Real Child!
Hey folks, Harry here... Ya know what... AICN is screening crazy! This coming Monday we're doing a screening of the Wachowski's SPEED RACER and I couldn't possibly be happier! After IRON MAN & PINEAPPLE EXPRESS this weekend - a screening for SPEED RACER is exactly what I'm in the mood for...
Now we're doing this screening for folks with KIDS - cuz - there's nothing more fun than seeing crazy insane visual whiz bang with a bunch of munchkins that can't believe that one day they'll have cars and roads and a monkey just like the ones on screen! But they will dream about it!
Oh - and we may end up having a special contest - for which your Child... or heck - Even YOU - can perform - with GUSTO... The SPEED RACER song. So familiarize yourself and compete with Children. Bonus points for Speed Racer Attire. And if you are coming - this may be an excuse to be as Anime looking as you've wanted. Seriously... how often do you get to have crazy eyeshadow and whacked dye'd hair. Be cool, be of the SPEED RACER universe!

Join us at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar on Monday, May 5 for a sneak preview screening of Speed Racer. This screening is free. To reserve a seat, email brad@originalalamo.com with the subject line "CHIM CHIM FOREVER". In the body of the email include your first and last name and if you need a plus one. We'll post the will-call list of ticket winners on Sunday, May 4 by 5 PM. But here's the rub...
As this is co-sponsored by the Alamo Kids Club, priority seating will be given to those adults whose plus one is a child 12 years old or younger.

They also have a new music video too. Anyway the trailers do contain a lot of fast cuts and stuff, but the actual movie itself looks a lot smoother! Watch the 3 min clip. Yeah it's still pretty fast paced and energetic but it is indeed watchable! And the transitions... there's a lot of them and they're really crazy! This flic screams fun!

Kinda like a review for people with A.D.D......I have a 6 year old and we both love the original series. I hope they do the characters justice. Racer X carries a Broomhandle Mauser, so that rules right there.
