I like this season. Especially last week with the internet thing
-
i would hate to see a good season end with a bad episode
-
awesome
-
This is a genuinely good episode, and not just good for this incredibly subpar season. I dont know what youre on LordMyst, but this season has been nothing but cheap, empty one-note humor. It lacks everything I love about South Park. last week was a step in the right direciton, but you cant honestly any episode will be remembered down the line in any way. They have all been throw-away entertainment.
-
please be about mormons again. Please. Uh, oh my god. Lemme task their tears.
-
I wont deny the oddness and gaps this season had. They did alot of good things right. And others...not so good. The only one so far that seemed on the money was Canada On Strike. Others were good. But that felt...like they actually...I dunno shits been a little off.
-
Am funny when da little kids talk all dirty and jokes iz all about whatever headline iz cool or wacky dis week. Ha ha, tom cruz iz gaye - huh huh -
South Park can rot in hell. Get this crap of the air already. It's not funny, it's never been funny. -

-
I see two good episodes-- Boobage and Canada-- and four that were at best mildly humorous. Hope this one winds up on the good side.

Pray tell, what do you find funny? Let's hear it. What ranks a 10 on the "m_prevette funny meter"??? C'mon, we're dying to know.
-
If your standard of SP excellence is how often they make you go holy-shit-did-they-really-just-do-that, then this season, so far with only one exception, has been great. Examples, in show order: Cartman deliberately giving Kyle AIDS. Brit-Btit blowing her head off. Kenny going out of his way to have cats piss in his face. A mouse-penis moonlight duet. And Randy covered in a couple of quarts of his own sperm. WOW. Please note that I didn't mention the Canada episode, which, sorry kids, was trite. Canadians-are-boring is older than the slipping on a banana peel gag. Yawn.
-
Brit-Brit, not Brit-Btit.
-
I'm praying this next one is great. First two were bad, the last 3 or so were just okay. I did like the mouse penis singing shtick but things have definitely felt a bit different. Hopefully they get back on track.
-
Please go home... this is the best southpark season of the last few. You're acting as if all previous south parks were high art? it's an f'ing cartoon people. if you can't enjoy this season's southparks you should never have watched in the first place
-
true about the Canadian episode but the "guy! He's not your guy buddy! I'm not your buddy friiend! We're not your friend guy!" thing made me laugh cuz of those goofy Canadian voices they do haha
-
That's not my standard of how I judge South Park. It's how much it makes me laugh and so by that standard this season has been subpar. The thing is there's a couple of episodes that had good potential but they just missed it. The Cartman AIDS ep could have been gold if they would have joked on Cartman more and made less of a point about AIDS spending. Plus the Brit episode wasn't funny it was just bizzare. This episodes description is potential I hope it pans out.
-
You are the cancer that is killing South Park.
-
it's not been so much belly laughter but really a lot of parody's of famous movies/stories/types of movies Brittny was the Lottery, Kenny's and Cartman's specific episodes were obviously Heavy Metal and Stand and Deliver (with some great slams on Bil Bellicheck and the Pats), last week was apcolyptic films (the Mad Max poster on Stan's wall) I'm not sure where the HIV one falls into I think it was just making fun of celebrities attempts to solve problems by throwing money at it
-
And what does it for me may not do it for you, and vice versa. Personally I'm kinda mystified at why all these people are saying that SP has lost it - I think this is the best season in years. And I didn't find "I'm not your buddy, friend, etc." very funny, but a lot of other people did. I think SP is best when they're on a rant and pull a "holy shit" moment to accentuate their point. Others want all-Cartman-all-the-time. Who's to say who's right? -Oh, wait, this is a talkback. I have a moral imperative to tell 'yall that it's me.
-
The only bad eppisodes this season have been the Cartman AIDS eppisode and the Britney ep, and even those both had their moments. Tonights sounds good.
-
All you have to do is go to southparkstudios.com its free and ownd by Matt and Trey. And it has all the episodes too!
-
You beat me to the answer. That's how I watch SP almost all the time now is on their site. It looks alot better than the hack site.
-
I thought it was brilliant. It made the top echolon of the writer's strike look like fools. Plus, "Curse your rockin' tits!" is a great line. I say its been an awesome season.
-
Nothing this season can touch the following on the funny scale:
Lemiwinks
Woodland Critters Christmas
parts of imaginationland
Mormons
return of chef
up the down steroid
cripplefight
timmy2000 -
With the exceptions of the fun Heavy Metal homage and Cartman doing his best "Stand and Deliver" there was not much to laugh about this season.
A lot of people make fun of "Family Guy" for the quick gags: well I would content that South Park is guilty of going way too far in the opposite direction, stretching gags out over the length of an episode (see last week's) to lackluster effect. One could argue "Family Guy" is the far more efficient laugh generator. -
It's "contend" not "content", man. Listen if you think FG is funny, that's cool. Great! Laughter heals the world! But if you're gonna go ape crazy for cheap easy jokes then seriously, don't bitch about South Park. The fact that it's turned into something more than riff-a-minute punchlines speaks volumes to the quality of the show. It's all based on story now, and most of the time the stories are great. To each is own, sure, but you're also the fucking idiot -- underline idiot -- who came in here every week talking about how South Park jumped the shark. Talking about how it jumped the shark after the Canada AND the Internet ep! Seriously, if that's your opinion, kindly kill yourself after you go laugh at Peter telling Meg she's an idiot.
-
again. Though they'll probably put in a throwaway joke about FLDS.
-
Agreed, they get too preachy at times. But in the Family Guy episode, they totally slammed themselves for it. You gotta admire Matt & Trey for being able to criticize themselves so effecaciously.
-
And your opinions suck Cartman's balls. "effecaciously?" JEEZUS. You think using a $50 word for "good" makes you sound smart. What are you like, 40? God, what a fucking loser.
-
but the last two eps have been hilarious
-
i assume the strike is responsible for this right?
-
That's the way they've been doing it for the past few seasons.
-
Get your contractions right, please! "Until" becomes "`til" because you chop the "un" part off. You don't add an extra "l" - that would defeat part of the purpose of the contraction. [/grammar lesson]
-
What the hell TV shows are you watching that are so superior to this that you just shrug at the last 3 or 4 episodes of South Park? Because they sure as hell aren't on Earth TV. Are you picking up satelite feeds from an advanced race on another planet or something?
-
Erm, you may want to retract your grammar lesson, as till is a perfectly acceptable usage, in fact it probably predates. I certainly know growing up in the UK it was the more accepted form. Ever seen the movie 'From Dusk Till Dawn'?
-
the brand new Love Guru trailer just premiered right before the new south park
-
"Till is older than until. Those unaware of this sometimes assume that till is a short form of until and hence spell it as 'til. This word is nonstandard but in widespread use."
That is from Wikitionary. So not only is it till not til, but it isn't even a contraction at all, making your whole rant look rather silly. Now lets stop the grammar talk and all have a beer... -
i was hoping cartman would get to super phun thyme and find out it's an asian buffet.
-
and not a single laugh...this is the worst episode since the 24 parody
-
I've been super impressed so far, and you guys have to realize that just because the Britney episode isn't a laugh second, doesn't make it a bad episode. It's one of the most important they've done in ages.
-
He's my hero.
-
Even if South Park wasn't all that great seeing the trailer for Root of All Evil during the credits just ruins any happiness that came from South Park.
-
That was the most I've laughed this season, even if I did have to watch it on a funny pickcher box an' syitch.
-
Is the root of all evil. But it's still better than Lil' Bush and Drawn Together.
-
Like it was money killed me.
-
I love latter-day, parody-heavy SP, but this last season just feels off. Last weeks felt like they were back on track, but the plot today felt straight outta some college freshman dorm. "Lets have the Die Hard guys rob...a Burger King! Hahahaha that'd be great man! Pass the bowl!"
-
Drawn Together was magnificent and all things good with the world. Those unable to see the beauty of its humor must lead sad and unfulfilled lives. I pity you.

This season started out strong but the last few shows were shitt
by jkrow21
The "Heavy Metal" epic was the last really good one. Today's show was pretty lame..a major disappointment.
-
I thought it was leading somewhere clever (as I tend to hope when watching South Park), but alas, there was no payoff in the end. The last two episodes were great, but this one just didn't cut it.
-
South Park is always at least entertaining, and it was. But this is definitely the worst run of episodes ever. The only great episode I thought was the one where Garrison chased the penis mouse around. Beyond that.... Eh...
-
i shoulda known when they paired it with the Towlie episode (the absolute worst episode in the series' history). they were just making tonight's look good in comparison to SOMETHING
-
they played against everyone's expectation that it would be a "message" episode. Against the stupid "Who will those wacky boys take on this week" bull crap.
For the first time in a while, it seemed like they were actually the kids... not just talking heads for whatever point the creators wanted to make. I like the message eps, but y'know. It's cool to see something different every once in a while. -
As you can tell from my handle, Die Hard parodies are right up my alley. But this episode was weak sauce.
-
there were some good bits, but the best eps this season so far are definitely the Heavy Metal one and the penis mouse/Stand And Deliver one. also the hiv positive one and the writers strike one were pretty good. i didn't really care for the internet one or the britney spears one. probably two of the weakest eps ever. i'd lump this one in the middle category for this leg though and give the first leg of season 12 overall a 6/10. hope they get it together a little more in leg 2.
-
Butters would not let go no matter what added to the ep. Those guys in parks like Ren Fair really don't break character ever. Good to see Garrison back as man again, he needs another sidekick again. And yes this has been the best season so far. Heavy Metal ensured that.
-
South Park has been using this format for years...The season starts in March they do approx. 7 episodes and then finish up the season with approx. 7 episodes in the fall.
-
Almost as much as Butters punching cartman. Good stuff! Oh, and the counting of the hungry jacks merchandise!!! But mostly the casa bonita reference!!!!!
-
I thought the penis mouse would make a great carry over champ! Where the hell he go?! He was big fat oprah tits with his wacky duet and such.... actually it was just the duet!
-
Right? Nobody could be serious about Drawn Together, could they?Oh, and about the Garrison episode, the penis mouse stuff was funny enough but the Stand and Deliver "How do I reeech theese keeeds?" routine wore thin mighty quick for me. It felt like it was shoehorned in just to give Eric something to do.
-
Sure the show was usually crude and politically incorrect, but it if you couldn't see the humor then your TV just wasn't on. I was greatly saddened that it only got three seasons as I enjoyed the insanity and characters it had. Where else would you find Jolly Green Giant blowjob jokes? Where else would Star Wars references be used in reference to masturbation along with an appearance by the Veggie Fables? I think a moment of silence is needed to properly give due to a great show cut down far too soon!
-
There's always complaints about an ep not just centering around the boys and trey and matt finally give to you and you ask WTF trey? where's the funny week old references? This ep was full of funny shit. a shit load of classic butters moments(including when he punched cartmen I just about shit my pants laughing). Plenty of nice charectar moments(wendy not being an insane bitch and just being cool with stan). along with a good parody of die hard type terrorists.
-
This season wasn't too bad so far since it just was just for fun and didn't try to get preachy on our asses.
-
I'm guessing it'd be funnier though if I was from Colorado.
Reminds me of after I graduated Boot Camp and was excited to see there was a Casa Bonita in the area, only to get there and it was a cheap looking Mexican eatery, and nothing like I pictured from the South Park episode. Then months later I find out that it is indeed a real place, just in Colorado though. Damn Colorad..Coloradians? -
only sometimes their called renaissance fairs.
-
episode. Last year it was Imaginationland, before that the WoW parody. Nothing this year has approached that level of sustained brilliance. Not to say that each episode has not had memorable elements, and have not been funny. The internet stars, camel toe, singing penis/mouse, etc. Although "Boobage" would come pretty damn close, and it may be keeper of the season. I actually think the characters who wouldn't break character, no matter what, was the best of last night..."How about TGIF for some fried mozarella sticks..yea!..."
-
of a character. They shouldn't of made her Stan's girlfriend again. No one but Kenny should be interested in girls. They are all friggin 8.
-
With her fight with Ms. Ellen. That was about the only time she was funny.
-
Was Butters what what in the asshole. And Randy Marsh in the internet. Had they used Randy in the Heavy Metal Episode it would've been so much better, but at the same time his line at the end was great. SO why does everyone hate on the Towlie episode? I guess you've never been high?
-
Seems every year people claim the current season of South Park is weak sauce and that last year's was the best ever. Odd little trend. That being said I think they ended another strong (half?) season with quality story telling and humor. There's nothing being done in cartoons that's as good as this. (besides Avatar and parts of Metalocalypse) Even when it's an obvious lazy episode like this year's Canadian episode, it still has some memorable moments and still busts guts. Once South Park is lost, a shadow shall fall over the universe, and evil will grow in its path, and death will come from the skies.
-
IMO.
-
I've been chasin' girls since I was 5 dude
-
Whatever. I just don't think it's necessary. Sometimes they act too much like teenagers.
-
Even Ike has had sex. ... But you know it's not that, that irks me as much if you can use it for a good joke, It's the annoying character quirks that sometimes makes them act like they are teenagers like Stan saying that he was with his girlfriend and he doesn't want to act stupid. Makes me roll my eyes. He doesn't sound like a kid.
-
Who used to ask Kenny what a dildo was any day of the week to Stan acting like a pretentious snob.
-
I thought this was an alright season despite slamming the last two seasons pretty bad. Randy blowing his load was the best moment of the season -- by far. But this last episode sucked balls. And I'm talking, Mr. Garrison's discarded ball sack levels of suckage. Still, I'm glad they're back to stories instead of blatant preaching. I use to think they needed to hang it up and retire to their piles of money, but not so much anymore.
-
so to me it was a good episode
BTW I think they were making fun of a place in Denver called "The Boondocks" (not sure of the correct spelling) it's a place that has an arcade, lazer tag (stupid little kidd followed me and kept shooting me and almost got punched), go-carts, bumper boats, etc -
First, it's a typo. Second, Peter telling Meg she's an idiot is funny--but not as funny as an idiot like yourself trying to start a flame war. Kindly build a time machine, go back in time and kill your great-grandfather so you will never be born. I know you can do it! You seem wicked smart.
-
I think this season has been pretty good but last nights had no real great funny moments. I liked the whole bank robbers what did they rob a "Burger King" then the one robber wants his cut and gets like $20 and a BK stacker. The Canada episode was good satire with the writers strike and the Buddy Guy Friend Guy joke is memorable but otherwise the episode was average. Its not that im from Canada either. I think the top 3 this season have been "Major Boobage" , "Garrisons Balls" , "Internet" with Canada Episode then after that. The Britney episode and last night were ok but more of fill in episodes. What other show can stay current? They animate pretty quick. South Park,Family Guy and Robot Chicken are probably the best animated shows right now.
-
This is an AICN Talkback correct? Were mostly people who bitch about stuff we watch religiously mostly for free and even though we hate Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace not one of us has seen it less then 5-6 times. So Grammar Dim Dar Dont mean shit in dis place I reckon<---------CDN Translation.
-
Why the hell have they sentenced him to background character hell? I want Cartman back to giving lectures about the greatness of Hitler and threatening to kill leprechauns.
-
They're really on top of their game.
-
http://tinyurl.com/4nvu8g
-
A flame war? Don't flatter yourself. And don't get all pissy just because I called attention to the fact you're an unfunny douche. Wicked? Jump the Shark? I couldn't possibly take anything you say seriously, you silly silly man. Dude you better not be a man... Christ I hope you're like sixteen. At least then there's an excuse.
-
All he wanted was his share of the take. :(
-
I'm not your friend, buddy.
I'm not you're buddy, pal.
I'm not you're pal, friend.
Awesome. -
REALLY PHONED IT IN THIS SEASON!
-
I've been down on SP this season, but I'll say that was decent. I loved the rip on those parks where they have to stay in character, reminds me of those trips we had to take to Williamsburg, VA when I was in school.
Then there was the people being way over armed to rob a Burger King, WTF? that was kind of silly. Dude kind of reminded me of the bad guy in die hard. It's like the sketch of Mr. Garrison's penis being Mickey Mouse with a huge boner, that got a pretty good lauch out of me.
Anyway I just hate that there only a few eps to each half of the season. -
Plus, I was glad that there was no message or point to the ep. That was a big plus.
