While the rest of kids are reluctantly learning about the good old days in Colorado, a group of trigger-happy thieves break into the museum and take everyone hostage.

This is a genuinely good episode, and not just good for this incredibly subpar season. I dont know what youre on LordMyst, but this season has been nothing but cheap, empty one-note humor. It lacks everything I love about South Park. last week was a step in the right direciton, but you cant honestly any episode will be remembered down the line in any way. They have all been throw-away entertainment.

I wont deny the oddness and gaps this season had. They did alot of good things right. And others...not so good. The only one so far that seemed on the money was Canada On Strike. Others were good. But that felt...like they actually...I dunno shits been a little off.

    This season has been brilliant.

    by yakmalla

If your standard of SP excellence is how often they make you go holy-shit-did-they-really-just-do-that, then this season, so far with only one exception, has been great. Examples, in show order: Cartman deliberately giving Kyle AIDS. Brit-Btit blowing her head off. Kenny going out of his way to have cats piss in his face. A mouse-penis moonlight duet. And Randy covered in a couple of quarts of his own sperm. WOW. Please note that I didn't mention the Canada episode, which, sorry kids, was trite. Canadians-are-boring is older than the slipping on a banana peel gag. Yawn.

    by codefool

That's not my standard of how I judge South Park. It's how much it makes me laugh and so by that standard this season has been subpar. The thing is there's a couple of episodes that had good potential but they just missed it. The Cartman AIDS ep could have been gold if they would have joked on Cartman more and made less of a point about AIDS spending. Plus the Brit episode wasn't funny it was just bizzare. This episodes description is potential I hope it pans out.

it's not been so much belly laughter but really a lot of parody's of famous movies/stories/types of movies Brittny was the Lottery, Kenny's and Cartman's specific episodes were obviously Heavy Metal and Stand and Deliver (with some great slams on Bil Bellicheck and the Pats), last week was apcolyptic films (the Mad Max poster on Stan's wall) I'm not sure where the HIV one falls into I think it was just making fun of celebrities attempts to solve problems by throwing money at it

    by yakmalla

And what does it for me may not do it for you, and vice versa. Personally I'm kinda mystified at why all these people are saying that SP has lost it - I think this is the best season in years. And I didn't find "I'm not your buddy, friend, etc." very funny, but a lot of other people did. I think SP is best when they're on a rant and pull a "holy shit" moment to accentuate their point. Others want all-Cartman-all-the-time. Who's to say who's right? -Oh, wait, this is a talkback. I have a moral imperative to tell 'yall that it's me.

    Weak Season Overall.

    by fiester

With the exceptions of the fun Heavy Metal homage and Cartman doing his best "Stand and Deliver" there was not much to laugh about this season.

A lot of people make fun of "Family Guy" for the quick gags: well I would content that South Park is guilty of going way too far in the opposite direction, stretching gags out over the length of an episode (see last week's) to lackluster effect. One could argue "Family Guy" is the far more efficient laugh generator.

It's "contend" not "content", man. Listen if you think FG is funny, that's cool. Great! Laughter heals the world! But if you're gonna go ape crazy for cheap easy jokes then seriously, don't bitch about South Park. The fact that it's turned into something more than riff-a-minute punchlines speaks volumes to the quality of the show. It's all based on story now, and most of the time the stories are great. To each is own, sure, but you're also the fucking idiot -- underline idiot -- who came in here every week talking about how South Park jumped the shark. Talking about how it jumped the shark after the Canada AND the Internet ep! Seriously, if that's your opinion, kindly kill yourself after you go laugh at Peter telling Meg she's an idiot.

    by alonzo mosely

"Till is older than until. Those unaware of this sometimes assume that till is a short form of until and hence spell it as 'til. This word is nonstandard but in widespread use."
That is from Wikitionary. So not only is it till not til, but it isn't even a contraction at all, making your whole rant look rather silly. Now lets stop the grammar talk and all have a beer...

Sure the show was usually crude and politically incorrect, but it if you couldn't see the humor then your TV just wasn't on. I was greatly saddened that it only got three seasons as I enjoyed the insanity and characters it had. Where else would you find Jolly Green Giant blowjob jokes? Where else would Star Wars references be used in reference to masturbation along with an appearance by the Veggie Fables? I think a moment of silence is needed to properly give due to a great show cut down far too soon!

I'm guessing it'd be funnier though if I was from Colorado.

Reminds me of after I graduated Boot Camp and was excited to see there was a Casa Bonita in the area, only to get there and it was a cheap looking Mexican eatery, and nothing like I pictured from the South Park episode. Then months later I find out that it is indeed a real place, just in Colorado though. Damn Colorad..Coloradians?

episode. Last year it was Imaginationland, before that the WoW parody. Nothing this year has approached that level of sustained brilliance. Not to say that each episode has not had memorable elements, and have not been funny. The internet stars, camel toe, singing penis/mouse, etc. Although "Boobage" would come pretty damn close, and it may be keeper of the season. I actually think the characters who wouldn't break character, no matter what, was the best of last night..."How about TGIF for some fried mozarella sticks..yea!..."

    Funniest thing of the season

    by series7

Was Butters what what in the asshole. And Randy Marsh in the internet. Had they used Randy in the Heavy Metal Episode it would've been so much better, but at the same time his line at the end was great. SO why does everyone hate on the Towlie episode? I guess you've never been high?

Weak sauce and other inane comments

    by adeepercut2k

Seems every year people claim the current season of South Park is weak sauce and that last year's was the best ever. Odd little trend. That being said I think they ended another strong (half?) season with quality story telling and humor. There's nothing being done in cartoons that's as good as this. (besides Avatar and parts of Metalocalypse) Even when it's an obvious lazy episode like this year's Canadian episode, it still has some memorable moments and still busts guts. Once South Park is lost, a shadow shall fall over the universe, and evil will grow in its path, and death will come from the skies.

Whatever. I just don't think it's necessary. Sometimes they act too much like teenagers.

    Ah I just remembered

    by rufferto

Even Ike has had sex. ... But you know it's not that, that irks me as much if you can use it for a good joke, It's the annoying character quirks that sometimes makes them act like they are teenagers like Stan saying that he was with his girlfriend and he doesn't want to act stupid. Makes me roll my eyes. He doesn't sound like a kid.

    Good Season, Bad Ep

    by _maltheus_

I thought this was an alright season despite slamming the last two seasons pretty bad. Randy blowing his load was the best moment of the season -- by far. But this last episode sucked balls. And I'm talking, Mr. Garrison's discarded ball sack levels of suckage. Still, I'm glad they're back to stories instead of blatant preaching. I use to think they needed to hang it up and retire to their piles of money, but not so much anymore.

    I laughed

    by bloo

so to me it was a good episode

BTW I think they were making fun of a place in Denver called "The Boondocks" (not sure of the correct spelling) it's a place that has an arcade, lazer tag (stupid little kidd followed me and kept shooting me and almost got punched), go-carts, bumper boats, etc

First, it's a typo. Second, Peter telling Meg she's an idiot is funny--but not as funny as an idiot like yourself trying to start a flame war. Kindly build a time machine, go back in time and kill your great-grandfather so you will never be born. I know you can do it! You seem wicked smart.

    This Week Ep was Average

    by ktownman

I think this season has been pretty good but last nights had no real great funny moments. I liked the whole bank robbers what did they rob a "Burger King" then the one robber wants his cut and gets like $20 and a BK stacker. The Canada episode was good satire with the writers strike and the Buddy Guy Friend Guy joke is memorable but otherwise the episode was average. Its not that im from Canada either. I think the top 3 this season have been "Major Boobage" , "Garrisons Balls" , "Internet" with Canada Episode then after that. The Britney episode and last night were ok but more of fill in episodes. What other show can stay current? They animate pretty quick. South Park,Family Guy and Robot Chicken are probably the best animated shows right now.

Why the hell have they sentenced him to background character hell? I want Cartman back to giving lectures about the greatness of Hitler and threatening to kill leprechauns.

I couldn't possibly take anything you say seriously, you silly silly man. Dude you better not be a man... Christ I hope you're like sixteen. At least then there's an excuse.

    Decent ending

    by codefool

I've been down on SP this season, but I'll say that was decent. I loved the rip on those parks where they have to stay in character, reminds me of those trips we had to take to Williamsburg, VA when I was in school.

Then there was the people being way over armed to rob a Burger King, WTF? that was kind of silly. Dude kind of reminded me of the bad guy in die hard. It's like the sketch of Mr. Garrison's penis being Mickey Mouse with a huge boner, that got a pretty good lauch out of me.

Anyway I just hate that there only a few eps to each half of the season.

Plus, I was glad that there was no message or point to the ep. That was a big plus.
