Halle Berry in what sounds like a redo of THE THING WITH TWO HEADS called FRANKIE & ALICE!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I might be crazy, but I can't help but think Halle Berry is unintentionally remaking the cult classic THE THING WITH TWO HEADS. I read the announcement at Variety about her new movie called FRANKIE & ALICE. She plays a young woman with multiple personality disorder... half of her is a normal, well adjusted lady and the other half is a racist Caucasian.
In THE THING WITH TWO HEADS a racist (played by Ray Milland) has his head surgically attached to another man, who ends up being Rosey Grier, really kickass character actor from the '70s... a big, tough afro'd black dude.
I guess we won't get the pleasure of seeing Berry wearing that awkward neck-brace thing with an obvious dummy white-guy head hanging off of it in the long shots... Seriously, though... this movie could be a trainwreck... or it could be disturbing. Or both. Thoughts?

Didn't she cover some of this ground (badly) in Gothika already. And actually that Perfect Stranger movie had elements too. This will be hideous if Berry thinks it's a good script.

Rosey Grier might've been in a few movies, but his claim to fame was as one of the great defensive linemen of the late '60's, not as a "character actor".

I heard she was doing a movie about STARTING A PETITION TO SAVE SPIKE JONZE'S "Where the Wild Things Are" (instead of waiting over a year for the studio's version) It would be nice if that were based on a true story. *sigh* who will save us

After an Oscar speech inundated with bathos and platitudes, Halle Berry has made a string of films that died (quite horribly) at the boxoffice. It's really the same situation with Oscar-winner (?) Sharon Stone: she was generically described as a "movie star" even though she didn't score a single commercial hit since BASIC INSTINCT. Berry's future will probably follow one of two options: (1.) A sitcom (YOU GO, GIRL, where she plays a widow with 3 kids or whatever), (2.) A remake of THE MANSTER (the original was pretty damn surreal); hey, it would have to be better (and make more money) than CATWOMAN...or PERFECT STRANGER or GOTHIKA, et al. One of the THINGS she LOST IN THE FIRE has been her career (gotta admit, that final sentence made me cringe).
