I am – Hercules!!
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that the fourth season of “Lost” – originally set for 16 episodes, then cut back to 13 thanks to the writers’ strike – might end up with 14 hours after all.
4.9, the next new episode, is currently slated to air April 24, two weeks from Thursday.

is everyone saying "What?"
-
a full season, obviously. :(
-
In case you haven't seen Paul Scheer's awesome Lost montage...

14! woot!
-
Give it to us, hard!!!
-
I'm always up for more LOST.
-
I don't get it. Was it supposed to be funny?
-
So, lets just all be happy about that.
-
SQUEEEEEEZEEE IT!!!!
-
and trying to avoid the dreaded number 13? ...
-
Will I ascend into motion pictures' heaven? I mean ...the new Indy ...a lost finale and the next day a frakking new Battlestar Galactica... This line up may blow my mind. Literally.
-
Not that it got another episode, but I never heard about it being cut down from it's original 16 episodes. That's news to me, and I'm disappointed because I expected more than 6 episodes on the shows return. Lets just hope it returns from its break as well as the third season did.
-
and it was. go not have fun somewhere else.
-
But I can't wait until they come across headhunters who think Hurley is their chief. And a Harlem Globetrotters episode would be pretty badass too.
-
I havent done the math since last season... I bet they spen exactly 108 days on the island.
-
I'm just saying.
-
Why don't they call seasons 5 & 6 "After Lost"?
-
Actually my real post is - this 14th eppy sounds iffy at best. Me thinks if it does happen it'll be another one of those recapping the entire season throwaway episodes.
-
I believe that the Island travels in time. I think this is why 'the bad guys' want it. I think the numbers are Jacob's 'safety person' just like Desmond was for that new scientist guy. That's why they are everywhere. No matter what time the island appears in, they make sure the numbers are somewhere so he can maintain. That is also why he is there and yet not there. I think he has been on the island for so long that his temporalness is a bit sketchy and only the numbers keep him focused. I think that's how the Black Rock got onto the island--it just appeared right under it. I think the Darma Project was probably trying to control or steer the island. Just an idea though. any thoughts?
-
so lets do it
-
Of just Ben being interviewed.
-
Just saying.
-
At first I thought it was a takeoff of a Sex in the City montage from like 3 years ago that did the same thing, except with the word "Who?". Either way, neither of them were actually funny. Or awesome, for that matter.
I guess it's somewhat impressive that someone edited all the "whats" from 70 hours of LOST together in the first place? -
Apparently the writers at Lost tend to overuse having characters say "What?"

Those were actually the adjectives I was looking for, yes.

Please please please.

I mean seasons are all screwed up now anyway, so if it ended later than normal so what? They already got their vacation time during the stupid strike. I hope those Canadians enjoyed their Bennigan's.
-
of ending the season later than normal...
it's a question of scheduling the cast. Lots of those actors are probably scheduled to do film work, theater, etc., during the hiatus. As awesome as LOST is, the producers simply can't do the show if actors are not available (Cuse and Lindelof have already mentioned this as a post-strike problem finishing up the season in interviews). -
With the purchase of another meal of equal or lesser value, of course. Wouldn't want to have our buddies up there getting all overly enthusiastic aboot it all again by not mentioning that.
-
the piece of bubble gum for EACH AND EVERY CANADIAN!!
-
you are right.
-
but 14 is better than 13, which is better than no Lost at all!
-
I loved it when one night a week was simply LOST night. I'm all for piggybacking to bump up the ratings, but 10 pm is legitimately late. Go balls out against American Idol on wednesdays, ABC. Those would be some cojones.
-
We were supposed to get 48 episodes, as that was the magic plan for the final run of the show. If we get 14 this season, when they then do 17 and 17 for the next two seasons, or are they still planning 16 episodes per season for the next two?
-
BUDDY.
-
It's already going to be awesome, with Indy and the LOST finale. If it's a two-hour, my brain may just explode.
-
WAHHHHHH-HAAAAAWWWWWW-HAAAAWWWWLLLLLTTTTT
-
What's really ugly and lives under a bridge?
-
I'm not your buddy, friend.
-
LOL! Finally.
-
Lost IS a spin off... of BSG. The Island houses the ancient buried remains of the crashed Galactica, Smokie is a Cylon nano-weapon, Ben is the Final Cylon. How's that for totally fucking up continuity... lol!I watch way too much TV.
-
No, Lost is a spinoff of a TV show that premiered in 2011.
-
give locke a spinoff show
-
Is it just me that thinks they will release the end of lost as a feature and market the hell out of it so we all have to go to the cinema to see it? Could be pretty good with a massive budget.
-
missed the show in its original amc run, am now watching it streaming and damn if it isnt almost as good as the wire
-
In season six, we learn that the island is the next generation of The Village, guarded by the smoke monster (Rover 2.0), and in the final episode, Jack is revealed to be Number One. Love is all you need...
-
Any news about extra episodes of LOST is good news -- especially considering how great this season is turning out to be. Thanks...this made my day!
-
44 more minutes of potential Juliet-in-a-tanktop - let's make 'em count, people!
-
AFTER LOST sounds like a great idea. Maybe out Lostaways return to the island and open a resort. The smoke monster appears in the form of the Harlem Globetrotters.
-
The title to the potential spin-off.
-
regardless of what the episode's focus is.
-
And Locke kicks or throws something when he gets frustrated.
-
is still on the air?
-
Of course, it's the best show on television.
-
Give me a break that is a worse idea than After MASH or the Golden Palace. Lets take 3 of the characters. Lets have 3 of the characters start a hotel on another island with a different guest each week!
-
Its hard to emphsize sarcasim while typing. but I like your idea. Get me JJ and ABC on the phone immediately.... looks like we have a winner!!!!!
Sequel could be called "Found?" "Still Lost" "Jack Sheppard MD" (played by a different actor), "Hurley Loves Sun" Maybe they can get real people to fill in the cast and have an elimination show, while participants desperatly compete to win and get off the island.Dr. Marvin Candle will host and everyones voices will be dubbed by lame commedians. -
wouldn't it be awesome if the Millenium group was involved....
-
Shoehorn Lance Henriksen into this show somehow. Have him be skinny Hurley in some really far off flash forwards.
-
an hour dedicated to Walt. How he gets dog food for Vincent, in the barbershop getting cornrows, & see a shrink to delete the fact his Dad is a LOSER!
-
That's not saying much.
-
Or, more appropriately, "Everybody Hates Walt's Dad"
-
The one chick will just wake up & find Charlie from Party of 5 in the shower.. FIN!
-
TER MAAAAATTTTTTAAAAAUUUUUUUU!!!
-
uh.... hmmm.... I forgot."
