That Other SUPERNATURAL Guy Is In A Movie Too, Now!!

We've already heard that SUPERNATURAL's Jared Padalecki would star in Platnium Dune's forthcoming remake of FRIDAY THE 13th. Now comes word that Jensen Ackles, his brother in the series, will appear in MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D. This is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name, but 3-D-ified.
Ackles will play Tom, a handsome, principled man who returns to his home in Harmony, Mo., 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. Back in Montana, Tom finds he still is smitten with his first love, Sarah (Jaime King), and is now a murder suspect.

Remake of this remake. Hopeing for a Sleepaway Camp remake next. Or a possibly remake of Scream! Or better yet, The Ruins!

slasher flicks of the 80s. I am pretty disapointed it is being remade. I can't see this one being good.
Why not just reissue the original with the 10 or so minutes of footage that was deemed too gory at the time and has never been seen and be done with it. -
The guy has so much natural charm, wit and great sense of timing. He'd have made a great son of Indiana Jones if Shia didn't already have the paramount contract as their goldenboy. If they ever want to go back to basics with the bionic project and do oit properly this time with a remake of the Six Million Dollar man, then Jensen Ackles is the best they'll get for the Staeve Austin role. ..hmm but of course that'll mean ending Supernatural and we can't have them doing that now can we? Maybe a Bionic Man motion picture instead?

But, I mean the original was horrid. The MPAA butchered all the gore out of it just to spite Paramount for the obscene business Friday the 13th did less than 6 months ago.
My Bloody Valentine the band was great and highly influential.
The movie...not so much.
In 3-D opening on Valentines day weekend, it has a shot at a good 1st week gross.
I would love to see a slasher done in 3-D properly.
I really have to say though Friday the 13th 3-D was fun in theaters and tons of even more stupid fun to watch on DVD. -

Otherwise though, it's good to see this actor getting more film roles, even if I don't expect much from this particular remake. -
That thinks Supernatural represents just about everything thats wrong with telly nowadays? To be fair this guys the least annoying thing about it but this show is definitely the sick underachieving younger sibling of the X files. They cant go an episode without a hot female demon or a haunted milfy housewife.

I left off watching the season 2 finale, need to finish that and catch up with season 3! Will probably do that during the summer drought though.

That Jared Paladelaeiocki's career seems to be doing better. He's a horrible actor, with the same haircut as my aunt Kathy. Jensen is the talent, and the looks.

The original was filmed in my home province of Nova Scotia. I recall the movie as a showcase for one of our local beers. A proud part of our history. Well . . . part of our history, anyways.

The image of a guy walking around the locker room shielding his eyes and crying "GAY!" every time he almost bumps into a dude with his shirt off actually made me laugh my ass off. I would love to see that as a scene in a Apatow-type teen comedy flick.

Not nearly as much skin, but it's real. :) I read a small part of the script for this movie and it wasn't too bad. It's not mindblowing but the characters, believe it or not, seemed interesting.
