Once she catches a movie role that gets the publics attention, she's done with TV. This could be cool though. VM was a guilty pleasure of mine for sure.

Just watched last episode of REAPER...

    by crayon

and it's positively criminal that it's not getting any play on AICN. Sam makes friends with a bunch of gay demons (including a Veronica Mars alumni (plug)) and begins the wheels turning on a plot against the Devil? C'mon, how does TV get better??

And for anyone paying attention, has it's ratings picked up since comin back from strike?

is fucking hilarious - a true slice of white trash kiwi life - I'm not sure how it would translate though. America nwhte trash is very different to NZ whote trash.
It's also one of the best locally produced dramedys which consistently outrates it's US/UK competitors on NZ tv.

As in the posibility of her being on THREE network series at the same time; her voiceovers on Gossip Girl, Heroes and now this. Hope she's bought a pair of industrial-strength shades, since the future is that bright for her right now.

I'm all over this. Give me Bell and Thomas, and I will watch even if the premise is shit, because you know they'll make it work. How good did the premise of VM sound (high school detective), and it turned out to be phenomenal.

Oh yeah, Reaper is pretty good, and the last episode was a great move in the right direction, but it's far from found its footing. And I'm already tired of the Andi bullshit storyline - I hate contrivances to keep people apart for too long. I get what Sam was doing, but the writers had a great opportunity for advancement of the storyline (just because she finds out, doesn't mean they get together). This is going to suffer the same way Smallville did (5 years later, no one's figured it out) if they don't pull their shit together. Love the gay demon twist though, laughed my ass off at their disgust at Sam's "racism."

    by slappy jones

don't get me wrong...I am not about to call her "the worst actress in the world" or any overblown trolling nonsense like that but I just don't get it. Sure she's a pretty girl but a little bland and while she's a capable actress she hardly transcends the material shes given. I wouldn't say she is a master actor. I mean she was fucking awful on heroes but then again thats par for the course for that show. I don't get the "hype" I suppose. I just don't see what's sets her apart from other pretty faceless TV actors out there. I guess the ten guys who watched her show are just really dedicated yeah?

    Not an April Fool's joke

    by flickchick85

E!Kristen had it as a video news item today. And I think this is great news. While I'm curious to see how the Cupid remake turns out, this is the only Rob Thomas project I'm really excited about. I've never seen the original, but I think the premise has a lot of potential in the right hands, and now with the possible reunion with KB, I'm sold. Also, as a straight female, I just wanted to chime in and say that Kristen Bell's appeal extends beyond her looks. The character of Veronica Mars was one of the most fascinating, complex, 3-dimensional, and lovable characters I've ever encountered on television, and the majority of credit for that goes to Bell. Sure, Thomas wrote the character well, but most of the little things that made the character awesome were things that couldn't be written on a page. And yeah, she and everyone else sucks on Heroes. What's new? (I'll admit that Adrian Pasdar seems immune, though)

    Testify, flickchick85...to a point. :)

    by pennsy

It's not just the inhumanly hotness she has. Not this time, not with this woman. It's the kindness she shows toward her fans, it's the utter charm she shows in interviews (read the Cosmo interview and you'll be amazed to find out that she thinks all of her success is only due to good luck.

What seals it for me is the work ethic. She's got acting chops in spades, and it goes back to Everwood and Reefer Madness. It continued through VM, and Heroes (here's where we part company, flickchick ;))...she was season 2's MVP, IMO. I could tolerate Dania Ramirez stinking up the joint in particular as she was one-half of Heroes' Nikki and Paolo, as long as Kristen was in the bullpen.

And I can deal with the Parises, Nicoles, Shitneys, Li-Los as long as Kristen is there to show 'em how it's done, both professionally and personally. She's grounded, she's an anti-diva. And she's a lady any one of us straight guys would make a pact with Satan himself (or Ryan Seacrest...same thing) if it meant being her boyfriend.

We don't differ as much as you think, as I agree she was the MVP of Heroes season 2, but I just think it was all bad. Pasdar seems immune to the Heroes curse, but he wasn't the MVP b/c he wasn't really IN season 2 (I'm not like a big Pasdar fan, either. Heroes is the only thing I've seen him in. He just always seems better than the show). So the MVP title goes to KB, and I did love "Cautionary Tales." But I don't think it any way did justice to her talents, and if I had never seen her before that show, I would probably think she, along with everyone else in the season, sucked big time. And since season 1 of Heroes was better for everyone, most Heroes fans thought better of their established S1 stars than the actors portraying new characters, simply because S2 was so terrible, when in reality, if this was their first exposure to all the other characters, as well, they'd probably hate them all. I'd like to see her finish her character's arc and move on to projects that make better use of her talent, Outrageous Fortune sounds promising.

I thought "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" were the two champeens in this category, but this just might eclipse them. What a horrorshow - poor Rene Russo, reduced to this.

Mars. Sorry, had to b said. Seriously, though, I'd love to see Bell and Thomas working together again, still wishe i was the VM FBI show. The preview for that on the Season 3 DVD set looked awesome. I thuight Season 3 was great, sure 1 and 2 had a better dramatic arc but three wass still better than justa bout anything else on television. Definitely bettrer than Buff S4(the other first year in college), though Hush was pretty good.
