New HANCOCK Images Online!! Superhero + Car =

Per yesterday's Talkbacks about superheroes throwing cars, here's one of several new images from Will Smith's HANCOCK.
The pics appear on dvd-forum, which can be accessed by clicking Will (that sounds wrong).
And yes, Darth Macchio, a midget would be preferable to a cat. Everybody should have one.

When is someone going to have the nutsack to make the ultimate anti-superhero movie. A really angry Superman who instead of bringing a U.S. flag to the White House rebuilding effort, takes that flag pole and skewers E.G. Marshall with it. "That's for not doing a frickin thing about Darfur, Mr. President!" A badass who crashes through the walls of China's National Assembly yelling "Oh yeah! I ain't here to bring you Kool-Aid, chumps. I'm here to crack open your skulls like ripe melons!" An unstoppable force who snaps violent gang members in two, creates a mass grave for CEOs.............on the moon, and takes a super-sized piss into bin Laden's dialysis bag. Where is THAT superhero movie?

Yes, it makes you feel included in something, even though you're not, really, but please find a way that doesn't make you look as stupid and wastes space on these talkbacks. There are already more than enough ways to do that as it is.

Darkhorizons just revealed that production of Hancock has been delayed because of disputes between Charlize Theron & Jason Bateman. The quarrel was over who has to rap along with Will Smith on the soundtrack.

He can be serious, but he could also handle the kind of inherent goofiness of the character while not making an outright joke of it.Anyone think that character would work in a movie? If so, alongside who? Cap? Spidey? Luke Cage? Daredevil?

And for actually mentioning me I'll give you a pass on the 'not very fond of cats' thing provided there are not feline homicides (nor canine, fishnine, or hamsternine either while I'm at it...yes you can use hamsters for ammo in a catapult but not directly into a brick wall...at least not on purpose anyway). And yes, midgets would be preferable to cats...even with tiny fingers..having an opposable thumb makes all the difference in the world. Ever see a cat try to open a bottle of ketchup? Fucking hilarious!

Yeah good call. DAMN! Just when you thought they were going to go a different route with Superheroes, where they show William tossing a Whale in the preview, they show us this.
I would prefer animal tossing more then car tossing, personally. You ever seen The Protector were they hammer throw the baby elephant? -
I looked over the pics again, and noticed a weird trend. Smith is wearing a lot of stuff with eagles all over it. His beanie, his shirt, even the necklace around his neck is an eagle if I'm not mistaken. Maybe Hancock is a big fan of American Eagle or something, but the park bench he is sitting on in one snapshot also has a picture of an eagle on it. Wonder if that's going to be a significant theme, or if my film classes are making me read too much into mise en scene.

Maybe next year when Jon Stewart host the Oscars again, they can play a montage of superheros tossing vehicles. COME on, someone with a lot of free time and a you tube account make it happen!

Poor guy can't seem to land a solid movie. Sure, he's great in everything he's in but usually all of the films fall short-even Juno.

That might be CGI or even a car on a crane with the hoist edited out, I don;t know, but it sure looks like a bad photoshop. The guy in the car's head seems out of scale to both smith and the car itself, and he doesn't seem to be affected by gravity - that is, unaware that he's at a 45 degree angle. Also, the hideous bright electric blue color of the car not only isn;t even a real color, but the same tone extends to Smith's pants, like someone thought that, to give it a comic book look, there should only be one shade of blue. Like that Dick Tracy movie.
