If you're a regular Colbert watcher, you might be like me and recognize this book, GANG LEADER FOR A DAY, from author Sudir Venkatesh's appearance on the show to pimp this book. Sudir spent years befriending the Chicago gangs for research and chronicled the society that formed in the gang communities. He even got to lead for a day, hence the title.

BLACK SNAKE MOAN's Craig Brewer will direct for Paramount Vantage and they've hired SOPRANOS scribe Michael Caleo will pen. I really dig Brewer's style and this could be a good fit.
