UPDATED!! And Holly (At Least One Version Of Her) In The LAND OF THE LOST Movie Is... + A Script Review Is Now Online

Anna Friel (currently on ABC's PUSHING DAISES) will play "the 31 year old version" of Holly in the LAND OF THE LOST feature film. So says THIS ARTICLE at scifi.com.
"Version".
This either means that the character is no longer a little girl (which she was in the film's progenitor television series), or that some type of time travel funkiness is afoot. We'd previously known Friel was cast in the film, although I think this is the first indicator of who she'd be playing.
UPDATE: Immediately after I posted this, I saw a piece of e-mail linking to a script review of the film.

The review says: "Let’s hope that the filmmakers can make the second half of this movie work, because if they don’t, they’ll be responsible for one of the worst movies of 2009."

She could play Witchipoo in the HR Puffenstuff remake that will bound to happen if "Land of the Lost" is a success. She could play my magic flute anytime. :)

She will be Will Farrell's love interest and the other guy will be the competition. Will's character will be the screw up but lovable lead, and the other guy will be the A-hole that always gets the better of him...until the miracle at the end of the movie where he saves both the girl and the guy (or the bad guy tries to screw the lead and ends up killing himself...I'm sure he'll be eaten by a T-Rex)

What was up with that review? So, the guy thought the script was weak because the movie wasn't stupid enough? Glad the Sleestaks are in there, though, and it almost seems like they're trying to invade our dimension. I hope the bad guys win. Reality tv would be more interesting if there were some reptile men involved.

It's funny to read a sub-mental criticizing a show that was actually regarded asone of the best Saturday morning shows. He even admits he never saw it. Respected and famous sci-fi authors like Ben Bova, Larry Niven and David Gerrold all wrote for the show (and even battled network censors!) plus the stop-motion animation was great for kids tv in the 70's. But the reviewer giggles at the same tired stupid 11-year old Ferrell schtick that he should be embarassed to play now. After SEMI-PRO flopped, hopefully we'll see less of this limp cookie-cutter humor (ooo, he fights a guy in a wheelchair! and ends up on youtube!)... -
Because we're sick of Will Farrell going to the same well too many times. He doesn't seem to have a lot of range. Any of his movies characters are interchangeable, and the audience is catching on.
I like him, but in every movie he's the same character in different clothes. -
Just because "Semi-Pro" sucked, doesn't mean that Will Ferrell is on the slide. For every "Anchorman" and "Old School", we have to tolerate the "Kicking and Screaming" and "Bewitched".
Personally, I'm looking forward to "Stepbrothers", that judging by just the trailer looks funny as hell. -

The original series had "no mythology"? The guy clearly never *watched* the original show, as it had a rock-solid mythology that was adhered to almost religiously. Interesting that Chaka, Grumpy, and The Zarn, all elements of the "non-existent" LOTL mythology, appear to be featured players...

The review sucked...why only review the first act of a script? The reviewer is in trouble at the beginning by saying Will Ferret is a good actor. Bad move. It sure sounds right up his alley though. Guess it'll be a big budget idiot comedy for the idiot masses. Oh well. Ok AICN, go back to sucking Apatow's dick now. Thanks for your attention.
