That DIE HARD 4 Computer Nerd Guy Joins The Cast Of Sam Raimi's DRAG ME TO HELL!!

Last week, we learned that Alison Lohman would replace Ellen page in Sam Raimi's forthcoming DRAG ME TO HELL.
Now comes word that Justin Long will play her boyfriend in the film.
So says THIS ARTICLE in Variety.
Long was the computer wiz/sidekick to Bruce is LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD; folks seemed to either love him or hate him in the role. I was a naysayer, but I suppose I'm willing to give him another chance.

...on Blu-ray! I enjoyed it this time as much as when I saw it in the theater. I had no problem at all with Long's character, or the movie itself, for that matter.

when anybody who has researched anything about that film knows that Avi Arad is the real one to blame. Raimi hasn't changed. I'm pretty dang sure that DMtH will be on-par with the Evil Dead franchise. Maybe better (I hope).
Speaking of SM3, has anyone played the video game yet? THAT is what SM3 the movie should have been like. Connors actually turns to the Lizard. Scorpion and Rhino are in it with awesome origins. I haven't finished the game (I don't own the game), so I haven't even seen the black suit, or Venom, or the Sandman. Much of the storyline has been changed from the movie. I'm enjoying it. -

I was afraid you were going to say Kevin Smith was in it. I was about ready to sell my 5 versions of EVIL DEAD and my 5 versions of EVIL DEAD 2: DEAD BY DAWN. Even worst than his directing is Kevin Smith's acting. I liked CLERKS (the first one, please) some of Mallrats and even less of JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKES BACK, and that's about it. The guy's way overrated as a director, gaining the majority of his popularity through the folks who run sites like this. Hey, the guy's approachable and supposedly he's very likeable in person. And let's face it, some people on have been known to rub elbows with certain filmmakers, and that at times has seemed to affect some people's judgment. Hey, and I'm not sure I'd not do the same thing. All this said, I've never met the guy so I'm just going by what I see on film. I'll give the little dude credit though, he's a sharp witted individual, which makes him a natural in writing dialog. It's the other stuff that I find him lacking in. In any event, I felt I needed to defend myself in advance, because I'm sure I'll get ripped for saying all this. Like him or not, the guy's got a following...for whatever reason. Anyway, the role in question here? Hey, I like Warren Cheswick as much as the next guy. The guy's done horror before. He was actually pretty good in JEEPERS CREEPERS.

That's about exactly the way I feel about K.Smith. Except I wanted to like him a lot longer.. I even lied to some friends and said that "Clerks 2" was ok! But I'm sure he can be a great writer. But after that "I'm f**king Seth Rogen" I probably never will know, because that made me feel violated. I'm still taking extra showers every day cause of it.

The forces of Satan wriggle their way into our daily lives. Man, that scene in the pg13 awful die hard where he starts yelling at John McClane "The media is owned by corporations, man! Corporations own the channels! Can you believe that?" In a movie produced and released by a subsidiary of NewsCorp no less. What a terrible, embarrassing fucking scene. Hate that fucking idiot.

Everyone else was pretty good. It was worth the wait.

If it was a regular action film I might give it a pass as mindless fluff with one or two genuinely good moments, but as a part of the Die Hard franchise it is utter shite. An absolute disappointment.

die hard 4 had a corny villain and a boring adult john mcclane justin was funny in galaxy quest and idiocracy -
another reason to not see this movie.
i stand by the opinion that most people could care less who the director is; raimi is known only for spider-man outside of movie geek audiences. his good films are an exception rather than the rule. -

He sucked in Die Hard, but that whole movie sucked anyways, but hey the credits where awesome. But I think he's kind of funny, no George Carlin but funny.
