Whew!! The LAND OF THE LOST Movie Has Finally Found Its Chaka!!

The Will Ferrell LAND OF THE LOST movie has thrown SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Jorma Taccone into the mix as Chaka. Taccone recently appeared in HOT ROD.
This news per JoBlo.
You can find footage of Chaka from the original LAND OF THE LOST television series HERE. "Embedding disabled by request" says this particular clip; who are they to contain Chaka greatness?
I really, really want to see what a Sleestack looks like in the new movie. I couldn't find a YouTube video of one of them.

...in perfect four part harmony as they go over the giant waterfall...all will be well. This is the PERFECT type of old crap to remake...it can be stupid, funny, have some kick ass adventure stuff and gigantic over the top corny special effects. Perfect material for Will Farrell. Can't wait.

They did that song in concert and they ruled, I think it would be a great fit if they did the cover of the Land of the Lost tune for the movie.

With friends like you, who needs friends? Geez the guy who posted that video is just mean. Did you guys read the description? He made a video of chaka, something his friend loves, and mixed in clips of a movie that gives him nightmares, just to fuck him up. Real nice. I actually had completely forgotten about Chaka until now, by the way.

I'm with you man. He's the most mind bogglingly overrated funny man or all time. I don't even get where I'm suppose to laugh when he's on the screen. He'd needs laugh tracks following him so I know where the funny moments are suppose to be cause I can't even guess, let alone laugh.

While we're on the topic of nepotism; maybe Brooke Shields can play Chaka's mom. After all, the script was co-written by Chris Henchy her husband.

I like Will when he isn't up front all of the time, like in Old School, but those days are long gone, I'm afraid. Semi Pro almost made that turd Bewitched look good. At least that one had Nicole Kidman.

I don't recal if they were Chaka's parents,big brothers or what, but they were bullies. He needs to pull a Vito Andolini on them, escape, change identities, grow up, gain power, come back, and stick it to them.

I understand that. Anchorman had his crew and everyone else. Nobody in Semi-Pro brought anything else (except the announcers), so he was up front. Stepbrothers hopefully will be better.

Zip boxoffice. Upon viewing the E! reruns of SNL (now floundering in bad writing and hype for the corrupt Mrs. Clinton), I have unimpeachable evidence that Will Ferrell is NOT funny. Phil Hartman, class. Jon Lovitz, hilarious. Tim Meadows, extremely underrated. Will Ferrell, dated. His cheerleader routine looks like an outtake from ABBOTT AND COSTELLO IN THE FOREIGN LEGION.

No doubt they'll be some hilarity in how ridiculously slow the Sleestacks moved. The cast always had to back away from them for a few beats to keep the chase scene going. And didn’t you love there was always a convenient exit to their bottomless pit of despair?

The man was Ron Burgundy,Frank the Tank and Ricky Bobby, not to mention all of his great SNL skits. Semi Pro is funny, hell even Kicking and Screaming had it's moments. I think when Will Ferrell is unrestrained he is awesome. This moive spooks me a bit but the tv series was horrendus so what could be worse? Also no one mentions the fact that the show was remade in the 90's and it sucked even worse.
