Some Nice PRINCE CASPIAN Images Have Hit The Net!!
Merrick here...
You would have found them at a link here, but the Mouse House cracked down and swept them back into the vault... Oh well...
I thought the first film was okay enough, but was kind of dull. I'm hearing they solve this issue (to a large extent, at least) this time around...so I'm curious to see how this shakes out.

I don't care about this movie.
-
but so did the trailer for the first one, and that didn't turn out any better than average.
-
Or have we mentioned this already today?
-
If you thought the first film was dull, try listening to the entire series on audio books while traveling across the country. It'll make you want to burst your eardrums.
-
i thought the first movie was fine, and had some really great moments that perfectly captured the feelings in the book. bring on reepicheep! also, i love the shot of the "historic painting" of aslan and peter in these pix.
-
Everybody is perfect with their make-up and their hair and their photoshopped personalities. These Narnia films have corporate fingerprints all over them.
-
Everyone called me a perve for thinking so after the first film, but I went on IMDB and she was already legal (in the UK at least) buy the time it came out. Funnily enough, I get a load of stick from my mates for fancying older women too. I think they're all just too narrow-minded. :^)
-
than the High King Peter. I always imagined him as more harried, less of a male model. I'm not expecting LotR based on the first one, but as long as they get Nikabrik and Trufflehunter right, and the paw-sucking Bear, I'm in.
-
and the movie still looks rubbish. The only two decent images in that collection are the concept art ones.
-
What the fxck is it with all you perverts, she`s a little girl you paedo`s FFS!
Cap`n`Jack and raw-bean yea I`m talking to you! -
even the first trailer, I was surprised to like this new trailer. Really rooting for this to be good, but might wait for DVD.
-
Before I can ask when I can start balling the Lucy chick?
-
lame, lame
-
As has been mentioned... she has some DSL to be sure... And lay off the "perv" accusations. She's legal.
-
December birthday. But yeah, hardly jailbait.
-
When, oh when will you grow up, and stop using the word 'gay' to demean something? It is childish and oh-so-high-school. Those who fear being gay or gay people are usually the ones who think it about it the most.
-
COMEON!!! The 1st one was utter shite. It was made for 5 year olds.
soooo gay....i tried giving it a shot(in the theaters no less)-and we get to the dinner scene..with 2 talknig gerbils..i fucking walked...couldnt do it. -
you ass, it's a KIDS BOOK and that's the name of a TALKING MOUSE! What should you name it, Optimus Prime? The Mouse of Doom? Have you even read the book?
-
that image of the castle is a rather nasty photoshop job. look at the left of the pic where the clone tool has been used. i'm sure i've done better photoshop jobs myself.
-
than any of the live action .Somehow theyre sucking all the magc out of this in filming stage.
-
not to turn the thread over to something else, but gary gygax died. RESPECT to the original DM, y'all: http://tinyurl.com/18r.
-
...rustybear and greyspecter are right: just stop it. it's stupid and it says more about you than anyone else.
-
I can totally see them doing that, even though it's not in the book (because in the book they're KIDS unlike the obvious 18+ that Caspian and Susan are in this movie!). One reason they might want to do this is that Susan 'becoming a woman' is kind of what prevents her from returning to Narnia later. This is one of the most controversial elements of the last Narnia book - The Last Battle. All the main characters return to Narnia at the end (it's seen as entering a version of Heaven) except Susan because she's only interested in 'lipstick' or something. Her vanity prevents her from going to 'Heaven'. The Last Battle contains plenty of allegory for the Christian perception of the End Of The World (much as The Magician's Nephew relates to its creation, with Aslan breathing life into Narnia as God would have) I can't wait to see how they avoid ALLLLLLLL of this when/if they get around to doing these chapters. But The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair have the potential to be fantastic movies.
-
Well let's see...they skipped the first part of the book, left out so many parts of the second one....we can only hope that Prince Caspian and the other chapters will be closer to the original
-
...and she's completely legal now, so no guilt!
-
G.G. is responsible for MORE kids sitting at home without dates on weekends than probably any other man in history. Jus' sayin....
-
He's been saying he wants to be in them for a long time. He's just the right blend of sly and out-there to keep these from being pure vanilla.
-
about the meaning of 'gay' but you stated it much more clearly...they also stole the meaning of the rainbow, a sign of God's covenant, so rainbow's are not a gay symbol, well they are, they are a happy symbol, but they're not attracted to rainbows of the same sex
-
than any film nominated this year for an oscar, and I'm sure the year it came out as well, but to be honest, don't remember what they were then
-
...doesn't mean it has to suck. Unfortunately though the first film did just that, and sucked harder than Paris Hilton at a gangbang. And this looks no better. It'd be nice if just once we could get one of these films that didn't appear to have utter contempt for it's audience, but I guess that's just way too much to ask. Hell, even "moderately entertaining" or "in any way watchable" was too much to ask as far as the first cinematic abortion went, so, yeah, whatever I guess...
-
I was about to fap to that image of Anna Popplewell.
-
the kids book reference was concerning the name of the mouse, Reepicheep, not the quality of the movie, made some 50 years after the book. The movie was moderately entertaining, but I agree wasn't a masterpiece. For a good time, I suggest you read the books.
-
Out of the 7 books, PRINCE CASPIAN was the second dullest book, next to the LAST BATTLE, which I doubt they'll ever film. It's like a corny retelling of Revelations. So how do you make the source material more exciting than one of the more beloved of the series? Unless you're pretty much going to rewrite the whole thing. If you're going to do that, what's the point. I personally, if they're going to keep this thing going (I doubt they will if this one's no better than the first; yes, I felt the first film was flat, much in the same way I thought the first POTTER film was flat), I'm looking forward to films 3 and 4. Those are the best stories by far in the series. And they should make much more exciting films. Maybe for film 3 they should get Alfonzo in to direct to kickstart this franchise the way he did with Potter.
-
that they haven't found a way to distinguish them from your average run-of-the-mill fantasy. The Potter movies kinda found it with the musical theme, the mood in the last 3, and the chemistry between Watson and anybody else she acts off, not to mention all the stars they've gotten (Rickman, Branaugh, Emma Thompson, Coltrane, Richard Harris, Miranda Richardson, Oldman). Narnia needs to find a distinct visual style or something that ids it as "This is Narnia, this musical theme or whatever is instantly identifiable as being associated with these movies and stories." All great movies have them: great lines ("Bond. James Bond" "I'm getting too old for this shit") iconic images (the boulder chase scene from Raiders, lightsabers) music (Jaws, X-Files), etc.
-
Actually, Prince Caspian was one of my favorites in the series (to each his own), and the fact that it looks like they're making this one darker, with more battles and scarier creatures already makes it sound so much better. I'm really looking forward to it.
-
Tell that to all the people who used rainbows before your little religion came along. God, what am I doing: arguing with someone who puts apostrophes into plurals!
-
And that's where the discussion begins. Was she forced to turn her back on her religion because she wouldn't be dying with the rest?
-
Yes, I am. I rest my case. (based on your response to mine) What an idiot.
