Quint's in both London and San Francisco next week? How can that be!?!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I wanted to put the call out to AICN readers in both San Francisco and London... I'm leaving on a jet plane tomorrow for London for an exclusive bit of fantasy coolness (all will be revealed soon)... I won't have much time as I'm turning right around to come back to the states for WonderCon in San Fran.
But I'll be free Sunday evening in London if any UK readers want to try to meet up for a dinner (and do let me know if there's something fun going on that night or a movie in release that I have to see).
Then I'm in San Francisco for WonderCon plus a few exclusive things that you'll know about as soon as I can write them up. I'll have a little more free time there, so if there's something you think I need to check out or if you want to try to arrange a get-together, drop me an email at quint@aintitcool.com.
I'm off to celebrate the 27th anniversary of being shat out of my mother's womb! Hope to see some of you folks in my travels!

You'll be showing up for the latter part of Strong Beer Month at Magnolia and 21st Amendment Brewery. 21st is easy walking distance of Moscone too (and by that I mean it's like seven or eight blocks). Message me in the forum if you want someone to buy you a strong beer while you are in SF.

Just like to pre-empt anyone about to get pernickety about Brick Lane cuisine being Bangladeshi not Indian with "Get a life" (and it's UK Asian as much as anything else - Baltis are from Birmingham). Likewise anyone getting snooty about the quality of Brick Lane curries. It all tastes fine after an enormous bottle of Cobra.

Well, first, you take a plane to London. Then, you take a plane to San Francisco. Or vice versa. All in under one week! It is 2008, folks. Planes fly really fast.[sarcasm]. Thank you! I'll be in either London or San Francisco all week.

So, about 20 minutes after my plane was to take off I decided to ask the United airlines lady why the screen still said my flight was on time. The flight out of Austin was delayed so long that I was going to miss my Chicago flight to London, so I've been rebooked for tomorrow. I'm sending out emails to all who have contacted me, but I'm thinking of moving the meeting... same time, same place, but Monday night. I'll be dog tired since I'm going to have to come right off the flight and go to the secret meetings, but I want some good Indian food and conversation with you guys. Hope to see you folks Monday!
