WALL*E has a specially made for the Super Bowl Spot - and it is the CUTE!!!
Hey folks, Harry here - loving the fucking defense of the New York Giants! But inbetween the awesome play of the New York Giants - making THE GREATEST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME look... meh... was this spot from WALL*E and Pixar. If you didn't know. This is going to be the film that you remember as being the film you saw in 2008, for the rest of your life. It will be mind-blowing and soul-affirming. And I can not count the seconds till it plays. I just hope I get to do a big special Kids Klub / Fantastic Fest event for it here in Austin. If only so I can see it that much sooner.

The Short Circuit movies are a testament to how endearing practical effects can be. Characters like Johnny and Gizmo remind me why I wish cgi was used a lot less these days.

That was the first Superbowl I have ever watched, and even I could tell that the Giants only won because Brady suddenly forgot how to pass. I think one of those hits in the beginning knocked loose whatever part of his brain that skill was stored in. Poor guy.

Brady looked average because the Giants knocked his teeth out(knocked down a dozen times and sacked 5 times). That pressure and punishment will bring any great quarterback back down to earth. No team had gotten to Brady like that all season...hence their lowest score all year.

The worst ads this year were easily those racist-as-hell ads for SalesGenie. My jaw dropped at the one with the pandas. I secretly love that Obama music video. It features two things I never thought I'd see; Scarlett Johansson looking extremely attractive, and Harold Perrineau Jr. not screaming "Waaaaaalt!" at the top of his lungs. Y'know, I could really get behind Obama if he would just drop his support for clean coal...

Sales Genie ads were disturbing. That Carlos Mencia Bud Light ad was distubing. E-Trade talking baby ad was cool which is surprising since I usually HATE talking babies in everything. I LOVED that ad about the oboe-playing football player. Very sweet! Oh, and that imaginary Indy 4 preview kicked all kinds of arse!

Echoes of Short Circuit/Silent Running but still fabulous..!

Saw the second teaser trailer on the big screen and it looked THE BUSINESS. I predicted at that moment that it would be the biggest film of the year without question. My four-year old daughter is already in love with WALL-E. Hats off to Pixar - it looks like they've done it again.

The Pats lost it cuz for some reason, they just could not get to Manning. Other than that, I'm still wondering what the hell happened. Note, I feel no need to insult the Giants. By the way, aside from the fact my team didn't win, wasn't it kind of a boring game? Even the Giants didn't look that great. No spectacularly bad or good player from either team.

Because their defense ran roughshod over the Pats offense; the Pats couldn't counter the blitzes. The pats deffense, on the other hand, was playing pretty usual. Remember, until the very end, the Patriots kept the Giants down to 3. In the end, its simple math. Thanks to their defense blitzing the quarterback throughout the night, the giants had a slew of chances to score whereas the patriots very rarely got into giants territory. Defense wins games, people.

I think you're probably one of those newer football fans, the ones that were raised on high power offenses. Well, this here was real smashmouth football, where both teams weren't budging and just slogging it out. Combine that with quite a few good plays and the fact that the Giants were the underdog of underdogs and you've got yourself one of the best games in Superbowl history--certainly the best one I've ever seen.

after the other 2 toy stories are re-released in 3-d starting next october. as for that wall-e spot, midly amusing but i think it could turn out to be the lesser of the pixar films because usually films that solely rely on one goofy charector, it never turns out so well for the entire final product. good to see woody and buzz again though.
