As per the game, I hope NE wins just because I think a perfect season is pretty cool. I don't much care about football though, but a perfect season is a heck of an accomplishment.

    Go New England!

    by wackybantha

A 2nd Super Bowl could have been played in the time between the end of the 1st one and the time this thread went live to ALL readers. However, since AICN has given me hours and hours of free infotainment over the years, I FORGIVE THEE!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, that may have been the least-impressive collection of Super Bowl commercials I have ever seen. I have no idea what people will be talking about at the water coolers tomorrow. Maybe they'll have to fall back on discussing the game itself. Woe to all!

that was the best one. Bud light was marginally okay. The Doritos one I did laugh at because it was just out of nowhere.
The Sobe 'Thriller' Commercial was just horrible.
Remember when the commercials were events? Budweiser Frogs, horses playing football, making insane basketball shots to win a bag of Doritos, and of course, if you have never seen "Terry Tate: Office Linebacker" then you must google it now - possibly the greatest superbowl tv ad of all time.

I can't remember them all but I loved the Screaming Squirrel, the Budweiser Horses, The Baby Stock Broker, The Doritos, Justin Timberlake, Shaq on the Horse was a riot, and the Pepsi Max was funny too. My favorite was Charlie Brown. Sentimental favorite.

who the hell thinks the pats choked?

    by moondoggy2u

Jesus H. Cookies, you nerds! Havent any of you more experience with football than just watching a playoff game or two? The Pats played excellently last night--its just that the giants were able to keep their blitz on with what has to be the best display of defense I've seen all year. I don't care who you are, if you get sacked 5 times and are on the rush throughout the entire game, you will not score points. The Giants simply shut down the patriots offense last night. Once that happened, it was only a matter of time until the offense was able to score points. The pats defense made a valiant effort, but in the end, even they had to bend. The only reason why I'm reading comments like "the game was so boring," or "Brady and the Pats choked!" is because a lot of you are a bunch of nerds unfamiliar with football and/or are raised on the modern Over-powered offense style of football. This was classic rumble in the jungle football, ladies and gents, and everyone who seen at least more than a handfull of games and can identify more than six plays thought that last night's game was one of the best superbowl games EVER!

    by emu47

And now? Wholeheartedly heartbroken. At the same time, I feel like even though I grew up in Maine and went to college in Boston and am justifiably a diehard Pats fan ... They were the bad guys this year. And that? It was like a Hollywood movie with a true Hollywood-style ending. Complete underdog victory, and a rousing one at that. I live in Manhattan now, and even I have to admit that when I looked out my window after the game and heard the whole city screaming out in joy, it tempered the loss a little for me. But just a little. What a terrible way to end the season; what an iconic failure. "Eighteen and one" is indeed the new Buckner.

I haven't heard nearly as many excuses as I had expected. Guess that the Patriots fans are still stunned into silence. I love this audio clip they've been playing all morning of some guy from Boston making excuses for Ellis Hobbs, saying he doesn't mean to make excuses, but "sometimes the fibers get starchy" and it leads to slips. Haha.

No matter how good a quarterback is, if the O-line lets defenders straight through without touching them, they're going to get sacked. I think The Giants defense was just tired from pounding the crap out of Brady the whole night when they got to the fourth quarter.
