Can I get a sneak peek at the final score of the Super Bowl? Because I have 8-6 in my squares. Oh, and this looks pretty good. Caspian was my second fav of the books when I was a kid and yet I remember none of it for some reason. That should help me going into this movie fresh.

    by darthvedder81

...you won't like the movies, plain and simple. I thought the first one was very faithful to the tone of the books and this one looks like more of the same. These are whimsical and charming children's tales at their core—not hack-and-slash fantasy epics.

    Potter + LOTR = Caspian

    by performingmonkey

That's what they want us to think anyway. The trailer, the one-sheet, the young Aragorn-lite Caspian. Sadly Prince Caspian is the worst Narnia book, hardly anything happens in it, so they have invented a LOT to fill up the movie, including yet another generic siege/battle sequence that we've seen time and time again. I'm tired of these huge CG sequences. It was quite good in Kingdom of Heaven, but usually they just turn into an excuse for the 'animators' to go apeshit crazy. Caspian will end up feeling like the stopgap Narnia movie before the more interesting ones (Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair) kick in. They're making Dawn Treader already, I believe, but it will surprise me if they actually make The Silver Chair or any of the others. They should combine The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle into one movie. They are about the birth and death of Narnia so it would be good to see that happen in one movie (then they could cut out all the bullshit suckage involving the ape in The Last Battle)

    by anna valerious

First of all, she doesn't think there's evil blondes in movies...I think she doesn't watch movies much because all she's doing is reinforcing a stereotype. Secondly, she acted more like she wanted a Midol in that film than being evil. I was in a "Narnia" play and the girl playing Jadis was MUCH better. Also, I still want to fuck Ben Barnes.

    yay for dark themes

    by burgerking

People who bitch about sequels and movies going too "dark" may have merit, but I totally dig it. I'd rather see darker versions of stories like Batman, Bond than fucking over-the-top fun loving family fares. Obviously this is gonna be for the families but darker is better. No more 6 year old bitch pulling off a sheet of a wardrobe and going in to have tea with Mr. Rapist Fawn.

Nope, now we get slightly older kids in a word where there is more "brutality" but still no decapitations, but hopefully they can step it up from last time, I mean the first movie did have a lion eating a ladies fucking face, lets see something more intense this time around.

Also, good news, from the looks of it, Disney actually has some confidence in this one and is giving them some actually good CGI artists because the first movie's cgi really pissed me off.

Will he be portrayed as "almost to pretty to be a boy" Will he be 'a chap who would do anything... absolutely anything?" Will Susan and Lucy agree that they would not feel "safe" around Bacchus if they had not met him in Aslan's company? Will there be Maenads? And most importantly... WILL IT BE A ROMP, ASLAN?

Mysterious Yobo not news to him

    by 5 by 5

He addressed the very thing because it's the same conclusion many came to, not just me. Obviously, Christianity is firmly in mind as C.S. Lewis states "I don't say. 'Let us represent Christ as Aslan.' I say, 'Supposing there was a world like Narnia, and supposing, like ours, it needed redemption, let us imagine what sort of Incarnation and Passion and Resurrection Christ would have there.'" His Christian beliefs heavily influence this story. Just because Aslan is a "supposal" instead of an "allegory" (in C.S. Lewis terminology) does not diminish the Christian message in the stories in a significant way. Indeed C.S. Lewis started out as an atheist (though raised in the Church) and ended up a Christian, writing such books as Mere Christianity, The Problem of Pain, The Great Divorce, and The Screwtape Letters.
