Fox is putting the show online as a *public service* for people who don't own televisions. It is NOT in any way to boost awareness of the show so that more people tune in to the broadcast debut and the network gets more ad dollars in the long run as a result. Oh, and there certainly will NOT be any clickable ads anywhere near the video from which Fox will receive money. Therefore, it's completely fair and reasonable for them not to pay the writers anything extra. I hope that settles that.

I made the right choice, for once. And with the blu-ray 1.1 final standard profile now on every PS3, with its potential bells and whistles, it would appear game, set and match for HD-DVD.

I kept seeing directing errors. Lots of small stuff that probably doesn't seem to matter but collectively does. But then again, I am comparing this to James Cameron's direction.

It will be a show almost nobody watches and then you'll find out it was on for like two whole seasons before they yanked it...

You can't expect it to be a big Hollywood production. Take it for what it is.....a TV show. And its a damn good one at that. But hey, bash and hate on it because its cool to call everything crap and continue to cling to the original like its a sacred masterpiece on a pedastal. Give the show a chance and see how it plays out. Have an open mind and be amenable to change. Sheesh!!!

Okay, everyone is bashing it. I thought it looked extremely bad from the first stuff that was released. The last couple trailers looked better, and I liked the posters they made. I'm about 8 minutes into the episode and I'm starting to like it. Sarah Connor is pretty spot on. John looks like a pretty good halfway point between Edward Furlong and Nick Stahl. The music is not the same, but it would have felt like a cop out if they just plugged in the original score. Everybody's bashing it, but I think it actually has some potential. But then again, I only just saw 8 minutes of it.

Yeah I just got done watching the Terminator series and I think it is going to be awesome. I think the pilot was a great set-up, and that this show is going to grow into one of the better shows that are out in the SCI-FI world. I am going to be very interested to see how they manuver the series to line up with the 3rd film. Anyways for all you that are bashing the show give it a chance to really grow and develop. Well I guess I'm a dummy for spending $159 for a HD player and 10 HD DVDs that will only play ALL of my regular DVDs near HD quality. Waaah! Waaaaaaaahhhh! Waaaaaaaaah.... ( could be worse , I could of spent $600 on a PS3 to watch my regular DVDs upconverted to HD )

Definitely better than I expected. Acting is not great, but it's a better cyborg show than Bionic Woman. I'll tune in when it's on, and Fox will probably cancel it if I like it. Also, Summer Glau makes me drool.

It really seems like a true sequel to T2(there are even nods to T1), and if you read some of the promotional stuff, it might not fall into the time line of T3 as it pans out. It's almost like they're just trying to erase T3 to make way for the new trilogy.

I know T3 wasn't the best, but it at least continued the franchise, and I see it as part of the whole. However, this first episode, although not horrible, totally fucks the continuity set up by T3 and contradicts what John says about the events after T2. They managed to take a good time travel story and the timeline it fit in, and fuck it up beyond belief.

Thats right I said Meh! Actually I just kind of scanned and scrolled through it after the dream sequence, but I think I get the gist of it. The Terminator looks like a juiced up Jaquin Phoenix. This reminds me of the Robocop series. No matter how good it might be by TV standards, it doesn't touch the films. Its like having a TV dinner after having a steak dinner the meal before it.

This just does not look good. Sarah is too young, or John is too old. The female terminator looks like she just came from an OC casting call. The bad terminator looks like a porn guy. Yikes.

I mean, seriously, I had no expectations whatsoever. I am the kind of guy who really does try to approach things with an open mind. This was awful. "Hope." I mean, what Terminator says that? You can mix some unlikely things-- comedy and zombies, for example. But you can't mix Terminator and Dawson's Creek.

The actress picked for Sarah Connor - forget her name, saw it months ago - is just terrible. Not even close, at all. John Connor was OK I suppose, but why must everything be cast in the hopes of attracting the brain dead teen audience? The female Terminator is poor, her acting was robotic, but not in the good way. As for the Terminator himself, he looked way too cuddly. Arnie was at least intimidating, this guy looked like a Bigger-Brothers type trying to be a hardass. Also, Terminators flapping their arms as they fly through the air kind of shatters the illusion a little. T3 was fine, not the best, but had a brave ending by Hollywood standards...and the Terminators DIDN'T FUCKING FLAP THEIR ARMS LIKE A RETARDED BIRD AFTER THEY WERE KNOCKED OFF THEIR FEET!!! Stupid shitty TV stuntmen...pussies!

Overall, I really didn't care for it. I don't think it followed the canon set-up from T1 & T2 very well at all. Which made it too distracting for me. However the opening sequence where Lena is wearing the miniskirt, Oh My FUCKING God!!!!

She dilivers her lines with nearly the level of whispering pussy ennui as the "new" bionic woman. C'mon! The original momma Connor was fierce. Also? Summer Glau? Miscast. She bobviously can't strtch her acting past the skinny, stringy-haired, unwashed mumblecakes freak she played in Firefly.

I give this show an 8 for potential. Now being a Whedonhead, there was no way I wasn't going support Summer(River Tam)Glau. She knows how to play unconventional characters so well. And if you've seen Firefly or Serenity you know that her odd comic timing is terrific. So as a Terminator(Terminatrix is a crappy term) I thought "Great Casting" Add in Queen Gorgo from 300 and again I thought "Great Casting" She has Hamilton's attitude down. Then I got to John and I said...meh. John NEEDS to butch up a bit. Furlong near the end of T2 was giving Arnold, Dyson, and his mom orders and was really the leader of that motley crew(Watch it again if you don't believe me)In the show he seems to have regressed. And he's not funny or a smartass anymore. He's just "ABC Afterschool Special" troubled all the time. The thing about the John character is that the audience has to like him and not want him to die. I understand the whole "This kid is a savior??" shtick but as I've stated earlier...he was showing glimpses of his leadership at the end of T2. Now that he's older he should be even more a leader. Not begging mommy to make the boogeymen go away like in this pilot. Could be the actor's fault...or the writing...I just hope they fix this in episodes to come. Writing wise I like the idea...though its slightly a retread of T2. Now we don't know what type of terminator Cameron Phillips is. My bet is she isn't a reprogrammed Terminator from the future but a machine invented by the resistance from Skynet technology with super advanced human behavior capabilities. Probably made by FUTURE JOHN himself and modeled after his future lover or wife(Just an assumption of what I would do with that character. The shows writers can steal this if they want...just hire me) That would explain her realistic human interactions, the BLUE not RED eyes and readout screen, the fact that she doesn't kill without being instructed not to by John or Sarah...and the potato chip eating. If she was a reprogrammed Terminator she should have said something like "Another Option" or "Help" instead of the clunky and too humanly corny line "Hope" when asked what that plasma gun was. If the writers can get an handle on the true voice of these characters this show could be terrific...POTENTIAL is something fleeting in the new shows coming out now...LIFE has it...BURN NOTICE has it...CHUCK lost it...HEROES is squandering it. LOST keeps gaining more of it. Whatever we do...we must WATCH...now a days its the only way shows can grow...lest they be canceled before they get off the ground...JERICHO, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, KIDNAPPED, SMITH. Anyway...thats my take...maybe you agree.
