    Beeeeautiful

    by dijonase24

The first season absolutely fantastic, and they did a great job of setting up what looks to be an equally gripping second season. With The Shield going off the air, and Rescue Me probably nearing its end, it's nice to see that FX is still committed to excellence and is willing to give he show another chance.

    Credit to FX

    by aliaatreides

I'm frankly surprised that they stuck with the show given its low ratings. It's a fantastic series, and one that certainly deserved to be continued. Unlike some networks (*cough* Scifi *cough*), the executives at FX seem to know what they're doing.

So is FX doubling up for a reason?

    by mixiboi

Because so for they have order 2 seasons of all it's shows:

    Nip/Tuck
    Rescue Me
    The Riches
    It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Only Dirt didn't get doubled(and we know why)

Is this because of the Actors(SAG) Strike looming in the future?

These strikes are really changing the TV world.

    Cool, but...

    by maxcalifornia.

I like DAMAGES but it won't be the same without Zjelko Ivanek's Fiske and his droll southern accent ("Gregorrehhhh...."), he was the secret star of the show. Supporting Emmy perhaps?

    Great!

    by catvutt

Such good news. Great stuff. Particularly like what the creators had to say about whether or not Patty actaully tried to have Ellen killed. All they're saying for sure is that Ellen definitely believes she did. Now lets get this damn strike settled so we actually have some scripts for this sucker!

    Excellent

    by bob of the shire

I love FX sometimes. The main networks will cancel a show with below average ratings within three episodes but FX will two seasons of a low-rated show simply because it's high quality. That's how TV should be run.

    Whoooo HOOOO!!!

    by strabo

Yes! I exclaimed verbally when I saw the headline. Thank you, FX. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you're not like your pissant cousins on broadcast TV. I really, really loved this series and am immensely grateful that you're going to let the writers tell their story to its fullest. There aren't many other networks around willing to do that anymore.

Did Patty REALLY set her up to be killed?

    by pantera777

I didn't see a weapon on the guy, so I thought he was there to scare her and things got out of hand. Maybe that's why Patty was so freaked out after the guy got killed...I think there's going to be a reversal and Ellen will side with Patty at some point.

I honestly think that's what the show's creator's were hinting at by not coming out and confirming Patty tried to have her killed, but rather that Ellen really does think that she did.

Thanks FX for keeping quality TV alive

    by the selecter

excellent news. And everyone will be back, including Katie. Given their method of storytelling, even Frobisher, Fiske, and David could return, though the latter two probably not as likely. TV guide has a good postseason interview with the producers, if anyone hasn't read it yet.And Herc's pimpage of Murder One on the same page is a nice touch.

Bravo to FX and not caving in to low

    by skimn

rating mentality. Too bad they didn't make the same choice when they had Lucky a couple of years ago. That show really showed promise and was given the short stick cuz of low ratings.
