The first season absolutely fantastic, and they did a great job of setting up what looks to be an equally gripping second season. With The Shield going off the air, and Rescue Me probably nearing its end, it's nice to see that FX is still committed to excellence and is willing to give he show another chance.
-
FX gets another one right, I am so glad we're going to get to see what Ellen has up here sleeve for Patty!
-
could we get a fucking Prison Break talkback in here. It's the fall finale tonight, and it's easily one of the funnest genre shows on tv right now.
-
It's a great show.
-
..because i want to live in a world where Tate Donovan gets a steady paycheck!!
-
could we get a fucking Spongebob Squarepants talkback in here. It's the new tv movie 'Atlantis Squarepantis' tonight, and it's easily one of the funniest genre shows on tv right now.
-
That is all.
-
I'm frankly surprised that they stuck with the show given its low ratings. It's a fantastic series, and one that certainly deserved to be continued. Unlike some networks (*cough* Scifi *cough*), the executives at FX seem to know what they're doing.
-
Because so for they have order 2 seasons of all it's shows:
Nip/Tuck
Rescue Me
The Riches
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Only Dirt didn't get doubled(and we know why)
Is this because of the Actors(SAG) Strike looming in the future?
These strikes are really changing the TV world. -
I like DAMAGES but it won't be the same without Zjelko Ivanek's Fiske and his droll southern accent ("Gregorrehhhh...."), he was the secret star of the show. Supporting Emmy perhaps?
-
Such good news. Great stuff. Particularly like what the creators had to say about whether or not Patty actaully tried to have Ellen killed. All they're saying for sure is that Ellen definitely believes she did. Now lets get this damn strike settled so we actually have some scripts for this sucker!
-
I love FX sometimes. The main networks will cancel a show with below average ratings within three episodes but FX will two seasons of a low-rated show simply because it's high quality. That's how TV should be run.
-
Yes! I exclaimed verbally when I saw the headline. Thank you, FX. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you're not like your pissant cousins on broadcast TV. I really, really loved this series and am immensely grateful that you're going to let the writers tell their story to its fullest. There aren't many other networks around willing to do that anymore.
-
Best season ever.
-
Rarely do I get this excited about TV shows these days.
-
Hell ya. Hard to believe a show worth a damn actually gets picked up. Good job FX.
-
Really great news.
-
I didn't see a weapon on the guy, so I thought he was there to scare her and things got out of hand. Maybe that's why Patty was so freaked out after the guy got killed...I think there's going to be a reversal and Ellen will side with Patty at some point.
-
Things had gone so quiet, I thought it wasn't going to happen. Can't wait to see where they take things in season 2.
-
Best news I've heard all week.
-
I honestly think that's what the show's creator's were hinting at by not coming out and confirming Patty tried to have her killed, but rather that Ellen really does think that she did.
-
Only saw the first five or so episodes, but really loved it. Rose Byrne is rediculously beautiful.
-
After we lose The Shield next year, I'm so happy we'll at least still have this. Nothing has been this good in years.
-
excellent news. And everyone will be back, including Katie. Given their method of storytelling, even Frobisher, Fiske, and David could return, though the latter two probably not as likely. TV guide has a good postseason interview with the producers, if anyone hasn't read it yet.And Herc's pimpage of Murder One on the same page is a nice touch.
-
Damn, this was a fine show. Can't wait for season 2. MaxCalifornia, great Fisk impression: "Gregorrehhhh...." LOL. Glad to see FX give this show another 2 seasons.
-
Even though she played the psycho-girl in Wicker Park, I wanted her to get the guy...
-
I just don't double check before I post so sometimes my grammar sucks balls.
-
rating mentality. Too bad they didn't make the same choice when they had Lucky a couple of years ago. That show really showed promise and was given the short stick cuz of low ratings.
-
I thought Damages and Mad Men were the two best TV series of 2007 (although when I see The Shield on dvd, that list will probably expand).
-
As much as I liked Damages, Mad Men was the best series to debut in 2007.
-
I just hope they actually have an idea where they're going with it after the second.
-
I loved this show very much, it had an early-Grisham feel to it.And seeing Rose Byrne all dressed up every week was a treat as well!
-
...easily.
