This Year's BNAT 9 Audience is...

Published at:  Nov 09, 2007 7:20:05 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here... Sorry it took so long, but literally I got the final seat count about 2 hours ago - and had to make some pretty painful choices. I received over 7,000 applications this year and there's only so much room. However, if you don't see your name in the following list - there is a chance you could still get in, via cancellations and through the standby line - (we'll post a story about a week out from BNAT giving the details).

Now - we're a little behind on the BNAT side of things right now, due mainly to the opening of the RITZ and getting time with Tim League has been very very unlikely - though over the next couple of weeks we'll be nailing down the number of prints we'll be ordering, etc - and the costs will then turn around into a ticket price, which we hope to keep as close to last year's ticket price (which was $60). As soon as I post a "TICKETS FOR BNAT ON SALE" notice - you should purchase your tickets. However, as of right now - the following names are guaranteed admission to Butt-Numb-A-Thon 9 so long as they purchase their tickets within the time given (at my next announcement) Now - in alphabetical order based on last names - The first lucky person is...

The second you realize you can't - I need you to email me at HK at AINTITCOOL.COM with the Subject line: "BNAT DROPOUT" - See you December 8th and 9th!!!!

Oh well. Was really hoping it would happen for me. Hope I'm high on the waiting list and hope a lot of slots open up. I'm looking at you, Eli Roth. A lot of untapped european horror out there. You could go prep your next film. Seriously, Hostel 2 was good. And I payed for it. No downloading for me.

I am looking into plane tix now. Anyone coming from Atlanta? I would love to fly out on airtran with someone thursday night. I go into Dallas, stay at my brothers' place. You'd be welcome too. We then fly on southwest to austin. I know it's only 3.5 hours. It's not the trip down that's a problem, the drive back is a BITCH when you're 'tarded -tired. SO, if'n anyone's interested, find me in the myspace bnat group. I am aka 100% Vitamin Awesome.

poems and prayers to butt numb

    by fingerpainting

    first, a haiku:
    twenty four hours/
of geeked out movie crack, NO/
    My life is over.

    Now, an abstract:
    Oh the things we do,
to sit among strangers and friends,
    and watch movies we love,
and movies we know not of.
The selected few spend there day overjoyed.
While 6000 plus rejects plot to throws eggs at them.

    Finally a prayer:
    Dear Lord, Krishna, Buddha, Bob,
Once again you have pulled a fast one on me. Ha ha, good one. Thanks for keeping me humble. Your wisdom is infinite. At least I still have Heroes:Origins. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

How do you stay awake for a full 24 hours, sitting in the dark? Serious question - I wonder how I'll be able to make it, and I don't want to miss anything. I figure some people might doze off during a movie or two - is that typical?

I had my hopes up after making in last year, so it's hard to know what I'll be missing out on this year... I don't hope that anyone that was accepted has to drop out, but if it happens, I'll be standing by... speaking of stand-by, if my schedule doesn't get stupid in the next few weeks, I might just be in that line, too. What's the rule on stand-by? How early should one get there - by 10:00am? Earlier?

0% -- Tickets are non transferable - you get your ticket at the top of the stairs as you get in - after showing your photo ID. you leave the theater - you have to again show your photo ID against the list. No match, no seat. You can't come after purchasing your seat online - there's no refunds and no ticket exchanges. It just means there's an extra seat for someone in the standby line.

    aww SNAP! for Harry...

    by grendy

Harry, nice reply to that dude. I mean really. BNAT is soooo much more valuable then a blowjob. Even one from HIS mom! I want to thank you for choosing me for this. It truly makes my year. Hey...anyone here who's not on the myspace or LJ groups...? I am organizing a BNAT gift exchange. Something for $10 or so. Tell me you're interested, and I will tell you who you're buying for by Thanksgiving. Then at the Friday meet-n-greet we can all say "Howdy" and exchange gifts. How does that sound? -Grendy

    Uhhhhhh, RodHolt? . . .

    by toulon

If you'd rather get a blowjob than go to BNAT, why apply in the first place? Seriously, Harry, I'll buy my plane ticket, book my hotel, and get your B-day present TODAY if he doesn't want his spot. Seriously, how could you miss this!?

Please do that. Then a theater full of geeks can laugh at you after Roth knocks you out.

It has become increasingly apparent to me...

    by roguewriter

... that I am not on this list. Clearly, this is a mistake. I have no eyes, yet I must weep...

    Enjoy, peeps.

    Sorry, Harry :-/

    by thegreatpumpkin

I guess everyone makes a bad call every now and then, and RodHolt must have you feeling kinda low. It is a celebration, after all, so why's this guy trying to bring it down? No shame in booting the guy off your list and picking someone else. Like Bobby Brown says, it's your prerogative.

    Rod Holt..

    by grendy

I bet this is Eli, just fuckin' with folks. I mean, he's tossing around hateful things and hasn't been booted. Plus, Harry's not responded since his first one. And if I am wrong, boy howdy can you let JohnnyLaw in? I told that guy I would buy him a beer for passing that bar. Ironic, PASS the bar, get a beer. Usually you get one if you don't pass the bar. I have spent over $200 and I haven't even gotten my actual BNAT tiket or the hotel cost and food and crap. This is my version of xmas and Festivus and I love it unabashedly. And if it is you, Eli, I might hit yer 'jew ass'... well, mostly 'cause it's
a nice ass. I've seen it.

    by photoman

That was a Blues Brothers quote btw...

    by photoman

My little post was almost a direct quote from The Blues Brothers. I'm not really going to go all the way to Texas and try to punch Harry in the mouth or anything. I mean, you all knew this right?

Re: Why would Harry boot me?

    by snax

    *sniffs*
I smell a troll, but I'll bite - Anyone could be booted because it's Harry's event and he can do what he wants. Did you not read the fine print?
Oh, and he should know your true name if you really did fill out an application, seeing as how the FIRST question was "Full Name and Aliases" which would imply online nicks.

I'm taking my ball and going home

    by snax

Thanks for the laughs, RodHolt, I sincerely appreciate it! I've never been called a douchebag before, I'm quite proud. Seriously - but I've heard "Snatch" and even "Stacks" before, sorry...And your second post made me laugh as well, 'cause it reminded me too much of an anecdote about John Kruk, testicular cancer survivor and former baseball player:
"Because he was still undergoing treatment and was admittedly very tired, the Phillies did not want him to play until completely recovered. Kruk, a fierce competitor complemented by one of the best public senses of humor, was outwardly critical of the Phillies position. The day before the home opener he was seen taking batting practice wearing a t-shirt that read:
[Front] If you don't let me play... [Back] I'm going to take my ball and go home."
