Amy Sherman-Palladino, who created, wrote, directed and generally oversaw the first six seasons of “Gilmore Girls,” is making the leap to writing and directing movies with “The Late Bloomer’s Revolution,” an adaptation of the book by Amy Cohen.

It’s about a daughter and father who both find themselves in the dating world following the death of her mom/his wife.

Sarah Jessica Parker, currently shooting the “Sex and the City” reunion movie, will star in “Bloomer’s.”

Sherman-Palladino also has the new Fox series, "The Return of Jezebel James," starring Parker Posey ("Superman Returns") and Lauren Ambrose ("Six Feet Under"), due at midseason.
