Mike Nichols and Tom Hanks make war in the Middle East seem natural and right with CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR trailer!

Published at:  Oct 11, 2007 11:18:34 PM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here... Mike Nichols is a genius of making our outside laugh as our inside weeps. I'm reminded of that as I look at this trailer for CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR. A film about the birth of the modern chain of events that set the ground for the world we now live in. And like today - it was the work of a man from Texas with more swagger than sense. I can't wait to see this! Here ya go...

Grab a cocktail, warm up the hot tub, find a big haired semi-nude blonde - it's time to play in the Middle East!

    I might see this

Like Osmosis Jones, I too miss the funny Tom Hanks of the 1980s. But I am most interested to see reactions when people realize Wilson was a pro-abortion Democrat and not the usual "evil Republican" that Hollywood enjoys using as a fantasy plot device.

God, I can't stand Julia Roberts...

    by kirbymanly

There's about 10,000 other actresses who could've played that part. She and Sarah Jessica Parker should run a Derby together

WTF? Shouldn't need to watch it in HD for it to be clear

    by theseeker7

What the hell? Why is the "standard definition" version SO shitty looking? I mean when trailers are up on Apple, looking at the one of the normal ones looks perfectly smooth and nothing like a 15 year old VHS tape.

On the brighter side, I didn't realize Phil Hoffman was in this, sweet. Look forward to hearing him spout Sorkin's dialogue.
