A couple of hard, pipe-hittin’ uh… dudes… join Jeremy Piven in THE GOODS: THE DON READY STORY!!!

Published at:  Oct 08, 2007 3:59:12 AM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little update on the Jeremy Piven vehicle THE GOODS: THE DON READY STORY, being produced by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.

In the flick, Piven plays a superstar in the world of used car sales and is brought in to help a struggling dealership get back on its feet over the big Fourth of July weekend.

Joining Piven are Ving Rhames and David Koechner. Koechner is no surprise… he’s a Ferrell/McKay regular and he’d fit perfectly as a used car salesman. Ving Rhames is the wild card and the one I can’t wait to see play a bit with Piven. What do you folks think?

    Don Ready

Isn't this August Blow-Out? I think Moriarty read a script for it a while back and mentioned that it was very funny and he hoped it got made. Piven sounds like the perfect actor to play a car salesman. I used to work for a car dealership and salesmen are slimy but hilarious so there should be some great comedy with this cast!

Is The Long, Pointless Title a Parody of Something?

    by aquatarkusman

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.... Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy... and this? Christ, I'm boycotting this on principle alone, and not just because Piven peaked with Savage Steve Holland's "One Crazy Summer" 20 years ago.

    Slasher

    by justinmac2000

Is this just a fictionalised account of the John Landis documentary Slasher, based on a real life specialist used car salesman who comes into a lot over a holiday weekend to shift all the crappy cars. What is the world coming to when Hollywood no longer creates original ideas, instead opting to pillage and plunder from the honest effort of others.
