Kids’ WB! outlasted The WB by two years. But starting with the 2008-2009 season The CW replaces Kids WB! with a five-hour Saturday-morning block from 4Kids Entertainment, which I understand has programmed the Saturday-morning block for Fox Network for many a year. The cartoon Batman and Superman and their DC Comics ilk will have to find new homes elsewhere. Maybe the Cartoon Network? I’m hoping for Cinemax.
Anyway, “The Batman” continues its new “Brave and the Bold” strategy Saturday morning with the reintroduction of Green Arrow. Warner Bros. sent over piles of pictures and we thought you might want to see a few.
Warner/DC’s “Legion of Super-Heroes” meanwhile continues its second season with the Legion divided. Some Legionnaires – Sun Boy, Cosmic Boy, Colossal Boy and Future Superman Kell-El - are working to recapture a falsely-accused fugitive Timber Wolf while others – Phantom Girl and Chameleon Boy – are harboring him so he can clear his name.

The Joker is the best character in comics. This show's rendition of the Joker is an abomination. I won't watch any Batman cartoon that ruins the best character in its playbook.

Seriously... they have no right to be this good, but they really are on par with the JLU now. Cartoon Network and the WB would be foolish to let these shows go the way of the dinosaur. Thanks for the shout out Herc.

Hell, look what they did with Clayface and Mr. Freeze. They tried to unabort Clayface by having a proper "villain" but they screwed that up. They made "Freeze" a common criminal. You actually gave a fuck about these characters on BTAS. Now they are redshirts...<br> Show has gotten better but let's end it after this season.

...oh the geeks are gonna love that! Its spelt 'Kal-El' Oh, and I really dug the design of Supes/Clark in The Batman. Thought it much better than the craggy faced geriatric we saw in Doomsday!

Dictionary - spelt. 1.verb - A past tense and a past participle of spell 1. Don't know where you're from buddy, but in the queens English it is!

Because it's not referring to Superman, it's referring to his future clone that was introduced in the season premiere. The Legion decided to call him that to distinguish him from Kal-El Supes.

I watched the first two episodes of this season with Superman in it. I didn't think they were all that bad. I still prefer JL and JLU, but what can you do. I have set a recording on my DVR for them each week, so if it is crap, I will fast forward through it or delete.

That the DCAU is not over yet. Timmverse/Diniverse will still see more storytellings. Fuck "The Batman" and fuck "The Legion of Superheroes" . They BOTH SUCK

I would be interested in knowing. I watch The Batman from time to time and they have one or two good episodes a season but overall it's a pretty bad show. I miss the good old days of the Timm/Diniverse.

Got stuck with them on slow weekend mornings at work. I hate Anime and anything that looks like it and The Batman has very little Anime influence.Keep it up and get us some better animated DC Universe movies. i am a huge Superman fan and Doomsday was just too weird for my taste.

I like how AICN notices Legion, Avatar and Venture Bros., but how a craptacular show like this caught Herc's attention is beyond me.

I'll say it since no one else will comment on the Green Arrow. I like how he looks in this cartoon. Especially in that profile shot posted in the article. <p> I don't care for Manga Robin though.

The Batman is no more of one than the old show. There were thousands of toys and merchandising released for that show and Superman and the rest. 10 times as much than what The Batman has produced.
