Herc’s Seen The Soaking-Wet Lyla Garrity In FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS 2.1!!

Published at:  Oct 05, 2007 12:17:44 AM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

A moving, funny, first-rate episode! Jesse Plemons? Money in the bank!

NBC says:

LAST DAYS OF SUMMER
SEASONS OF CHANGE-Season Premiere-- With summer coming to an end, the defending state champion Dillon Panthers look to continue its success despite a lot of changes taking place. Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) begins his career as head coach at TMU and immediately discovers the hardship of being separated from his family as Tami Taylor (Connie Britton) heads into labor with their second child. Meanwhile, Tyra Collette (Adrianne Palicki) is revisited from someone in her past that will alter her life forever. Best friends Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) and Landry Clarke (Jesse Plemons) battle with new lifestyles that neither of them seem ready for. Also starring Taylor Kitsch, Aimee Teegarden, Minka Kelly, Scott Porter, and Gaius Charles.

What NBC won’t tell you can be found in the spoiler-saturated text invisible!
* Most of the female regulars, including Tyra, appear in the teaser poolside in swimwear.

* Coach Taylor is again denied a masculine child, perhaps as Jesus’ punishment for taking the job at Texas Methodist, which is not a real school.

* Landry has a run-in with wildlife and “Fried Green Tomatoes.”

* Tyra’s “someone in her past” mmay be the fellow who tried to bone her without permission late last season.

* Julie Taylor fears destiny.

* There’s a Riggins-y Swede named Anton lurking about.

* Mathlete Landry tries out for the Panthers, but Tyra seems unimpressed.

* The great Chris Mulkey plays the Panthers’ new coach. He’s high on Smash Williams, but less high on Saracen and Riggins.

* Lyla is really into Jesus now, and her separated mom is really into the owner of a health-food store, much to Buddy Garrity’s dismay.

* SUPERSPOILER! As the episode ends, Coach Taylor is still working for TMU.

9 p.m. Friday. NBC.

    Yea, I do...

    by clockpolitiks

And I have to say that it had one of the best first seasons of any show I've ever seen. Every episode was quality. I'm not really into dramas, but this is a great show. Kyle Chandler is pretty awesome in this show. Also Minka Kelly is fucking smokin'.

is about two mouse clicks away from unlimited hardcore porn, and there's a headline about a wet actress on some sports show? Really?

John Mayer is apparently banging Minka Kelly.

    by copontheedge

Which is justice, considering he's a great musician who actually plays an instrument, unlike most pop stars out there today. Oh, and he has a live blues album which has some damn good stuff on it. He can boffo anyone he wants, if you ask me. Oh, you didn't? Well then please go hump a dewback.

    Great first episode...

    by executor

Watched online, excellent start of the season. If you don't watch this show, you should.

And if you're going to be a douchebag that just comes on the TB to put down the show, don't be lame, at least do it with a bit of wit and comedy.

It's not JUST about teenagers or football...

    by zer0cool2k2

It's about the town, the people, and football. It's a slice of rural life and how football plays such an important role in the well-being of a small community. The performances are great. the writing is great, and yes, there are some hot actresses. Britton, Aimee Teegarden, Palecki, and Minka Kelly, not to mention lasr season's guest role for Brooke Langton.

    Football is merely the backdrop.

    by barry egan

This show is about as much about football as Raging Bull is about boxing. Anybody who is a fan of quality television and cares about the good shows staying on the air should watch. This is likely the best ensemble cast on TV. Watch it side by side with Heroes and see how much better the acting is.

    Indeed...

    by sg7

....."It's a slice of rural life and how football plays such an important role in the well-being of a small community. " And THAT is why I am so glad to no longer live in the sticks. HS football is nothing more than Circus Maximus for those folks.

Notice they've jacked the colors up in the ads?

    by charles grady

Best show on TV, hands down, but couldn't help noticing the ads (at least) are now in bright, blaring NBC-COLOR, whereas the show used to be intentionally desaturated and beige. Think that's an intentional choice to give it a "hipper" sheen?

    best show on tv IMO

    by franklin_quoyle

Had to create an account just to post my support for this show, normally I avoid talkbacks.

Finished watching season 1 last week and am really looking forward to season 2. Heres hoping it finishes out the season and gets a season 3. Really great storylines, and the actors are friggin amazing. Hopefully people give it a chance.

    Love the show

    by charlie murphy

but not too sure how i feel about that soapy twist at the end... for a show so grounded in reality, starting a storyline you really truly can never undo no matter what, is a little odd... we'll see what happens. the episode was top notch, as always.

    Amazing show

    by kage

seeing you geeks come out in support of an overlooked, non-genre, quality show gives me an emotional woody. Sadly this surely means it will get cancelled along with all of our dearly departed favorites.

and yes, it was the best show on TV last season. but the changes i hear are in store concern me (i think we have more soapyness coming our way, Charlie Murphy).
