    by mezzanine

Has Universal Television just started to turn out nothing but remakes and "re imaginings"?

Knight Rider was cheesy in the early 80s. It will be really really cheesy in the late 00s.

Still though, I have to say, bring back the HOFF!!!

    Of course shapeshifting...

    by retroactive

because Knight Rider is constantly on a mission to find Energon! Oh...wait... Seriously though. The cars would have to change every five minutes to keep today's taylor made ADD generation focused. How many ADD kids does it take to screw in a light bulb? Do you want to go bike riding?

    by oceanlizard

Sounds like a lot of money is going to be spent on CGI. I hope the story will be there. Will the "Hoff" be a part of the new series? I kinda hope he will be there sorta the same way Richard Hatch did with Battlestar Galactica. More of a nemesis to the whole KITT project, not really a bad guy.

if they're doing this, i guess the theatrical movie they were in the midst of trying to put together has either fallen through or someone thought it be better to go as a series. but yeah shapeshifting? this show wasnt about hiding and stealth, it was just ur basic cop/detective show that happened to feature a talking car as a character. i wonder if william daniel's phone is ringing with an offer now.

    Knight Rider

    by kevinwillis.net

Will now be an 1980 era DeLorean with the power to travel back in time, driven by teenage lifeguard Michael McNight, former slacker turned night time time-traveling superhero. In each episode, have travels back in time to set things right. Now, that's original thinking!

does that mean the new Knight Rider can change from one Ford design to the next? It'd be so cool to be able to drive a Mustang, then press a button and drive a F-150, then press a button and drive a...Fusion, then press a button and drive a...er...Taurus? Yeah, that would be so cool...

    by photoboy

I know the original was quite cheesy but I always felt they tried to keep KITT vaguely believable. Still, I'm sure they'll do a better job than Bay did with his transforming cars.

They'd better keep Hasselhoff involved though, it won't be any good without him. Just so long as we don't get scenes of him drunk trying to eat a sandwich off the floor of KITT.

C'mon Knight Rider? That would be the 80's pop culture adaptation money shot! 'Miami Vice' 'Transformers' and
'Dukes of Hazard' are but mere fluffing in preparation.

But I want nothing to do with whoever wrote 'Raines' that dialog was all about reading fscking books!

'Hey...have you ever read 'Undaunted Courage...' 'I guess I read to much Raymond Chandler...'

    Do not want.
