Seems TRANSFORMERS 2 will shoot a sequence or two at the Bethlehem Steel facility in Pennsylvania. The spread will stand-in for "a fictional Chinese city populated by people from the Lehigh Valley."

George Lucas spoke to Fox news while in Cannes; the subject of a post CRYSTAL SKULL Indy project came up.
"I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison this," he said. "But I have an idea to make Shia [LeBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison [Ford] come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Usually this type of robot sophistication makes me tremble in fear of the inevitable robot wars... but not this...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. If the summer wasn't going well already, now we have evidence of what I'm expecting will be one of the funniest of the year. The first trailer for TROPIC THUNDER was funny... the redband trailer... could possibly be the funniest trailer I've ever seen.
CLICK IT HERE TO GET IT IN GLORIOUS QUICKTIME HD... VIA ITUNES....
I hear there'll be a streaming (ie easier access) one soon, but you won't get that until after the weekend.

The first teaser for THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR is online over at MSN.
Even though I don't like the way the trailer itself is assembled (over-voiced & wrongly voiced), seems there's some fun stuff & nice production values in the movie. We also get a few glimpses of the Yeti sequence previoulsy blogged about by director Rob Cohen (HERE).

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Comingsoon.net got their hands on the premiere of the final HELLBOY II poster and I like it a lot. The color scheme is good, the hero pose is great... Cool stuff.
I've also heard the movie has started to screen internally and the word is great on it so far. Can't wait to see it myself! Enjoy the poster and you can click thought to ComingSoon to get the big version!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here.
I’ve been a little conflicted with PRINCE CASPIAN. I visited the edit bay and saw many scenes and sequences that lead me to believe the film had a deeper, darker tone than the original. So, I was looking forward to it taking a step up from THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. However, it was still a sequel to a movie that I didn’t care for.

Hey guys. Quint here. Word has come out that actor John Phillip Law has died at the age of 70. There are many great films to his credit, his most famous probably being THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD, where he played the title character, and BARBARELLA, where he played a scantily clad blind angel.

Hey folks, Harry here... I got to see a good deal of this film, which really had a solid sense of atmosphere and fun. Gil Kenan ( of MONSTER HOUSE fame) has really constructed a film that feels, oddly, like a family adventure set in the world of METROPOLIS run down. Really inspired visuals. Here's the trailer...

It’s the last day of upfronts!
J.J. Abrams’ lucky sci-fi hourlong “Fringe” will have blockbuster “House” as a lead-in on Tuesdays. Come January, “Fringe” will have TV’s top-rated show, “American Idol,” as its lead-in. Fox is being very good to “Fringe.”
Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” will lead in to “24” starting in January. “Terminator” will be teamed with “Prison Break” on Mondays in the meantime.

Neal Moritz, who produced the titles referenced in the headline as well as many other projects, has (naturally) joined with Scholastic Media to bring R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS to the big screen for Columbia.
Studio is fast-tracking the project and is focusing on finding a writer.

Tom Cruise is angling to become President of the United States in THE 28th AMENDMENT.
Cruise would play President Ben Cahill in Warners action thriller, which follows the adventures of an American President (Cruise) that discovers the United States is actually being controlled by a super secret organization (run by Denzel Washington) that terminates those that get in its way.
