Its most likely a dummy in a batsuit-an effigy, a symbol of Gotham's hatred for the "flying rodent", most likely orchestrateed through the fake batmen thing which in turn was created by either Maroni or the Joker. And for those saying that the fake Batmen's costumes look too much like Bat's real one and keep crying "oh, where did they get the time to order all the parts", please dont be so thick. They DONT look THAT much like Bats, seeing as you can tell theyre fake! and plus, if your city has its own vigilante, is it not possible that some company might mass produce cheap replicas for parties, kids, etc-like, I dunno,in real life when a new Batman film comes out! Plus if theres a gangster behind this, he has the money to create cheap rip off suits anyway.....also to end my rant-The Joker=he looks good! I was skeptical about Ledger, I didnt like the idea that he was only wearing makeup, but when I heard the voice and saw those photos, I thought "well Nolan has fufilled his promise-he's different but familiar"....look at his clothes-pure Joker. Look at that look on Ledgers face-he looks like a messed up loon! He sounds the part, he looks like a nutjob, and while theres more to Joker than that, I like what Im seeing so far.....

I recall the last time Indiana Jones was out (Last Crusade) that the was a Batman film with the Joker in it. I think there was also a Lethal Weapon film that summer, too - thankfully, we won't have to deal with that in 2008, though!

Someone else mentioned that in a previous talkback. I think we're just in a vicious circle and will always get the same movies over and over again. Though with these two, I definitely don't mind so much.

I can't believe all they managed to get was one "grainy" photo. I am starting to see the reviews here are a mixture of actual fans and reviewers, but it also seems like a great place for studios to plant "secret" or "private" screenings with "spoilers". The "Cloverfield" project will be hyped more than Superbad.

I'm trying to imagine how this could fit into their story. Is this hung batman a bat-dummy? Or is it supposed to be one of the batmen? How did his head not pop off from being hung from a sky scraper? I need to know.

Also, for those who've mentioned that this is all being filmed in the bright light of day, calm down. First, in this incarnation of Batman there are both nights AND days, unlike Burton's movies. Second, it's common to film night scenes during the day and fix it up in editing. Think about it; it makes sense from a filmmaker's perspective.
