A looksee at OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE...
Ok folks, you might remember this title from Moriarty's last post about the non-comedy that them wacky Farrelly Bros. are up to. Remember, Moriarty killed six security guards and trampled 1 Entertainment Tonight Cameraman to talk with them after that Awards Presentation Q&A. Anyways, here are some of the pics from that film... OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE.
The only people I know are in it other than the pictured Shawn Hatosy and Alec Baldwin is a single people... named George Wendt.... NOOOOOOOOOORMMMM!!!! Yeah... that guy.
This sounds like a 'fish out of water' type story of a kid that's shipped off to some sort of prep school (aka HELL) leaving behind his three-legged dog to deal with a buncha prep school snobs and dorks. (of course that's just my take on the story, which I don't know all that much about. Personally, I'm interested in seeing a film by these two brothers that is.... well different from what we've seen before.

I went to hell... I mean prep school for a couple of years, and the experience has left me with this one thing to say -- Alec Baldwin's head is fucking amazing. His acting also blows me away. Alec Baldwin IS the William Shatner of the new millennium. I will see anything with him in it (including Mercury Rising again, and The Edge again) because he has been studying Kirk and his monologues in the aformentioned films are the pinnacle of what I love in old movies synthesised and presented for the future by the God of beautiful ham-- Alec Baldwin!!!!!!!

Is the guy in the topmost picture the jock from the Faculty? Looks alike but I can't remember the guys name.

The guy up top is Shawn Hatosy and, yes, he was in THE FACULTY. There is a great site devoted to Shawn at www.shawnhatosy.com You can probably get more info on OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE there as well. I'm glad to see this flick finally has a release, since they shot it in the summer of 1997. They shot most of it in the old Armory building in Providence, which is slowly being converted into soundstages. Dunbar is right in that the Farrelly's only produced the film based on Peter's book, and the book is a bit different than the material that they've become known for. It's got some really funny moments in it with the kid adjusting to life at the prep school, but it's more of a straight ahead, "blue collar boy makes good" type story. Hopefully it will give a different view of my homestate's capitol city than that sappy, lame "Providence" show on NBC.

Anything to divert attention from Providence the TV show. I hope they have a premiere like the one they had for TSAM. I scored some tickets ($100 bucks a pop for charity) for it and let me tell you it was incredible. Forget all the celebrities that were there, the free food and open bar were awesome.
