Has The Western Returned? Trailer for THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD!

Hey folks, Harry here... I get to see THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD this Monday. I've already seen 3:10 TO YUMA, which is the best old school western that I've seen since THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES - the ASS OF JJ as some have affectionately abbreviated it - looks to be a different type of western. A Terrence Malick-y dream of a Western - playing with the mythology and the reality of the west - whereas 3:10 TO YUMA is a spit in your eye and blow your spine out your back type of Western. I love all things Old West. Hollywood giving up on the genre would be like the Japanese or Chinese film industries giving up Samurai and Kung Fu films... The Western is UNIQUELY American - and the Western Film is as wide and as varied as the entire world of film. Let's hope these two films knock it out of the park and connect with modern audiences.
