    Yawn...

Scorcese really needs to check out some new music... or have something to say that wasn't steeped in nostalgia, for that matter. I did enjoy the first two hours of "No Direction Home," his Dylan documentary, but the last two hours seemed like a remake of the first two. With this Stones doc, prepare thyself for much gratuitous idolatrization of Sir Lord Moneybags Jagger at his Majesty's Satanic Service.

why is it always called "Glorious Quicktime" on here?

    by amy chasing

sure Quicktime is a high quality format (compared to RealMedia or WMV) but the player has a history of being awkward in working only in some browsers and not others, and then some files won't play unless you have the latest version of Quicktime, and then even if you get to see the film-clip you can't save it unless you've got a registered version.

Perhaps it should be called "HD Quicktime" (when applicable) or just "Pretty Quicktime". "Glorious" implies the whole system is amazing, which is just not my experience.

It is cool though that they got this piece of Apple software working as good as it does on PCs. But it's nothing compared to the joy of using Windows software in Ubuntu (which may not be glorious, but it's really bloody good). :)

    Stones Live

    by malpaso

Marty...what a waste. The Stones have always been an inferior live act.

The Stones are still the greatest R+R band in the world

    by darth voodoo

Nearly half a century in and the mighty Rolling Stones are still playing to football stadiums full of 50k people per night. Nobody has done it this long at this level ever. The Stones "A Bigger Bang" tour is now the most successfull tour ever. The Stones played to 4 million people on this tour. That number is not counting the night they played a free concert to 1 million people in Brazil Their album "A Bigger Bang" album hit #1 on the Worldwide chart (the most important in the world) as well as the European chart. Not bad for a bunch of guys pushing 70 years old. Bands 1/4th their age can only dream of having a fraction of their impact. There will never be another band as big as The Stones again.

Only stadium band left in the world?

    by darth voodoo

Are there any other bands that still play stadiums? I think U2 might once in a while, but I think the Stones are the only ones who do it day in and day out.

DID YOU REALLY NEED TO DO A NEW ARTICLE ON THIS?

    by robzass

I mean you could've just updated the other one. Plus this looks dissapointing. I thought it would be on the bands history, but it looks like its just one concert. zzzzzzzzzz.

    Cant F*cking Wait!

    by alex de large

The greatest band in the world gets the Scorsese treatment. This will be a classic. Dare I predict maybe even an Oscar nomination? Screw waiting for April--didn't I hear there'd be a limited release in the US next month?

    Stones mean nothing

    by darth fart

Paul Weller was right, if the Jam continued for much longer their history would stand for nothing. Look at the Stones, it means nothing anymore, a shadow of their former selves.
