Michelle Monaghan pulls an OVER THE TOP and goes for TRUCKER!!!

Published at:  Aug 16, 2007 5:49:36 AM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I got all melty and poetic about Michelle Monaghan when she was cast in DJ Caruso's EAGLE EYE a few days back, so I'll spare you another love-sick rant about how beautiful she is... but I did have to mention that she's attached to another movie going into production called TRUCKER.

The flick will be an indie drama co-starring Nathan Fillion, Benjamin Bratt, Joey Lauren Adams and Jimmy Bennett... and it totally sounds like a female version of OVER THE TOP. Monaghan plays a truck driver who lives for herself, no responsibilities in the world... until her estranged 11 year old son comes to stay with her after her ex (and his father) is hospitalized.

No word on if there's a big arm wrestling finale in Vegas.

Bratt plays her ex in flick directed by first time feature director James Mottern. Plum Pictures is producing.

Interesting cast and hope that we'll see some sweaty arm-wrastlin'.

I will see this if they rename it Lesbo Trucker Fuckers. Or if Sly makes a cameo. That is all.

I love Over the top, so a remake with Monaghan could be cool. I think the final showdown should be female topless boxing.

I guess she's given up on the high road. Oh well, the good news is that after this film tanks, we can expect to see her get naked over and over again in a string of sleazy erotic thrillers.
