Kahoona Burger reports in on BOND 19 aka THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH

Published at:  Apr 01, 1999 4:56:09 AM CST

A hamburger just told me the following... man... this diet is frigging making my brain skitz out on me... Breathe in and out, I know...

After a very heavy previous night the normally fresh looking burger that I am feels, looks & is reacting more like a George Romero zombie. Now
there is a thought to put most people off reading this snippet of info, anyway as per my usual morning routine I was watching the Big Breakfast
show over here in blighty.

After much hype there was another report about BOND 19: The world is not enough. I think the world would be enough for me but I am not
greedy, anyway it was a report on the villans and here is what went down (excuse my spelling below) :

1) They showed brief clips of jonah lomu the very big New Zealand rugby star, he looks even more mean than usual as he has long hair and a
bad ass goatie. Also the drum'n'bass british musician Goldie is a henchman and he too fits the look and feel of a bad ass henchman.

2) They showed a scene where M was briefing bond about the villian in the traditinal way they described him as: Victor Zocas aka Renard who
basically turns up in every warzone in the world just to cause chaos, a very hands on villian.

3) Producer Micheal G. Wilson went on to describe what he saw as the various different villian types of just plain evil like Rob Carlisyle and
loveable-rogue-not-so-evil Robbie Coltrane. Who plays Zukofski, they showed a scene very much like goldeneye where bond seems to have
sneaked into his hideout to have a few words with him. Robbie Coltrane described his former KGB turned capatalist as a fun loving slightly bad
guy, which he loves to play cause its the closet thing to being bond which is what he wanted as a kid.

4) They showed another scene where Renard had captured bond in what looks like an some sort of factory and he gave a villian like speech. He
also gripped bonds shoulder at which point he reeled back, this I assume is the classic case of the tormenting someone where they have been
hurt bad guy move. They also showed a follow-on scene in the same factory where a lot of gun fighting was going on by Rob and his men, I
assume after bond escapes from his grip!!

5) Rob Carlisyle described his character as having a bullet lodged in his head which gives him a lot of pain, and being the badest of the bad
guys he is the one who wants the world. They also showed a scene with him and a rather beautiful russian famme fatal played by Maria Grazia
Cucinotta, she said she was a very bad girl here's hoping.

I think that it has the possibilty of shaping up rather well, especially if they blow up that damn Millenium Dome. Well gotta rush before a big
bloke with an afro comes looking for his case!!

have a great one

    Bond 19

    by robvanfish

All sounds fairly cool. I can't wait to see Robert C's baddie, I'm sure he'll be well evil.
I hope that they will finally manage to make the 3rd film for Pierce, one that lives up to his formiddable Bond. Let's face it - the last two films were utter shite.

    A right mean bunch!!!

    by kahoona burger

After watching the lot of them on the tellie this morning its good to see that they are breaking out of the standard bond villan situation a bit more.

I mean normally it goes: Head Villan, Right hand man, then some assorted flunkies!!

This time you have: Head Villan, Right & Left hand men, Tasty tough women as the middle hand, and robbie coltrain as loveable rogue like character.

And lets not forget the star trek red shirt brigade of assorted flunkies!!

The bits of Rob C acting where very mean, he is puttin a lot more physical dynamics into this than the last villans did.

Lets hope they prove as good as they look!!

from the slightly stale and dry burger!!

    bond

    by money g

Sounds like more of the same from Bond land. Which is fine. but how bout bringing back Connery as an aged James Bond and make it a more serious film? The aging Bond called out for one more adventure to save the world, except make him more human? I know this takes away from everything that Bond is: handsome, athletic, strong, etc.
Just a thought. Anyone with any other feelings on taking Bond somewhere else? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

False report I beg to differ!!

    by kahoona burger

If this is an april fool then its a pretty damn clever one considering not only was it a real article but more than one person in england watching the big breakfast this morning can be witness to it.

what made you say its an april fool, you prove it to me and anyone else here at this talk back including harry that its a joke!!!!

People who read this site on a regular basis will remember that about 3 weeks ago I posted a previous Bond 19 report which was backed up with photos. Well this report came from the same source.

So please reply to this talk-back session and justify to me, harry and anyone else who read this why you think it is an april fool!!

    A seething Kahoona Burger!!!

sick of people saying, "I'm first!". Jesus. Is it the thrill of your lifetime or what? Also, Money B: I have no interest in seeing an aged Bond in a more serious flick. That's not what it's all about. And Kahoona, of course your report IS NOT bogus. Ignore that silly girl.
I eagerly anticipate this film, as I find Mr. Brosnan to be exceptionally fine looking and an excellent Bond. And I love Robert C. Superb bit of casting.

    An aging Bond my ass.......

    by verger

... we've already seen that film. It was called "Never Say Never Again". I'll admit that I'd watch Connery read the telephone book, but let's face it, Brosnan is making good Bond flicks after that other radish-butt and Roger Moore got done trashing the series. Now if only they could have a bad guy who isn't Russian mafia (I mean, isn't there someone else to beat up on in the world?)

    best and worst of bond

    by sting

I hope the villian's sidekick is better than the last one. I wasn't interested in the queer German henchman, he had no interesting characteristics or caricatures. Price as the Villian was great in Tomorrow Never Dies, the concept of a media mogul was great but of course they underdeveloped the plot. The greatest henchmen (women) of all time have been Mrs. THighSqeezer from Golden Eye, the African chick, the Sikh who crushes things with his hands, Jaws was interesting the first time around (but the second time, they lacked originality and repeated the previous plot but it was in space), the midgit in Golden Gun and Oddjob. The worst bond was "On her majesty's secret service". James Moore was the best bond, especially in "Live and Let Die". Kim Basinger was by far the best Bond girl, and the new woman M is pretty cool.

    Thigh cracking Ivona

    by kahoona burger

Fond memories of old bonds should not be confused with what would work in a movie. As much as we all love sean, a return to bond for him would be a laughable mistake. I am more worried who they are gonna find after pierce as I think he has made the best out of a very hard job since the bond franchise came back.

As far as the henchman/villan things goes well as long as they have great henchman that get enough scrren time to get us begging for more, and not to much to leave us bored they will be good.

Characters tend to get boring in these high profile movies unless they are used wisely, lets hope they are!!!

I also just want to say thanks to lynn bracken for justifing my report. I feel passionatly about reporting for harry as I have been reading this iste for so long!!

thanks from a happy little Kahoona Burger

    Bond

    by pdaddy

I agree with the previous poster about the last two Bond films - total garbage and a waste of my $8.25. Bond has gotten so lame, so tame, that it's ridiculous. They need to break the formula completely to really get my interest.

    fake report

    by camille

This is a fake report and i'm gonna prove it to you:

-Jonah Lomu is not in the film,he has chosen to play the world cup
    instead.
-The real name of Renard is Claude
    Serrault and not Victor Zocas.
-The bullet in his head immunes him from any pain as it is cutting
his nervous center in the brain.
(excuse me for this sentence, but i'm french and i could not remember the actual word)

    Anyway to check my information,
    go on sites like:
    mr kiss kiss bang bang
    Bond 19

SO I SAY THIS REPORT IS A FAKE ONE
MORE ACCURATLY:IT IS A REPORT WITH
TRUE ELEMENTS AND FAKE ONE MIXED.

    see you.

END THIS CAMILLE ONE AND FOR ALL!!

    by kahoona burger

Camille just to finish this little arguement, all the above stuff I reported on was actually shown on television or spoken by the actors themselves. This includes the producer and rob carlisyle.

I do not know where you READ you information from but I have video tape recording of the show that show a 5 second clip of Jonah Lomu in his full henchman garb.

I ONLY REPORT FACT I NEVER SPECULATE,and I will onlt report on stuff to do with bond that comes from the mouth of the people involved. I do not rely on reading reports as the british papers bend the truth so much!!

Now please do not waste my time!!!

Waste of time for Big Kahoona

    by camille

    Well,my dear kahoona,i guess we'll
both have to wait until the film
comes out to see which one of us
    was right.
BUT to end this,i'd just say that
i prefer to rely on informations
tha has been going around for quite a long time now than on a
    out of the blue one.
Just a piece of advise, don't believe everything you see on T.V.

I hope it was a good waste of time.

    see you.....
