Learn Who Plays JERICHO’s New Colonel!!

Published at:  Jul 24, 2007 1:46:18 AM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

Esai Morales will play Col. Hoffman on “Jericho” when it returns at midseason, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The series resumed production Monday.

Titus Welliver played Col. Robert Hoffman in the series’ first-season finale, but was unable to reprise the role for season two.

Morales, for the record, looks nothing like Welliver. I’m thinking the Reporter might have screwed up this story and that Morales is playing another officer.

Time will tell! Read all of the Reporter’s story here.

    Pity Welliver can't come back...

    by sledge hammer

...especially seeing as how he didn't really even get to do anything much in his lone appearance on the show thus far, and yet I was happy to see yet another Deadwood alum pop up all the same. Ah well. Morales better not be playing the same character, as that would be all kinds of retarded, and given that Welliver's character wasn't even all that much established, utterly pointless to boot.

Well, it wouldn't entirely be a surprise. It is Jericho, after all. They made lots of progress late in the game, but the possibility of regression is always there. One has to wonder if they brought ghost writers aboard to help with the second half of last season, since nothing in the first half would have lead anyone to believe that anything good could possibly have come about later.

    Jericho Convention

    by bloo

I don't know how many times I've sent this to Herc and Merrick, I'll suppose I'll try when it gets closer to September, but in September there is going to be a Jericho Convention in the "real" Jericho. There is a twon in NorthWest Kansas called Oakley that has the same 2 Highways and I-70 meeting there. In Sept. they are going to have a Jericho convention with actors, writers, prodcuers, etc on hand. I'm not a Jericho fan saw first 1/2 of the first ep and 2nd half of the episode where the library burns down but I'll probably go just because nothing cool ever happens in Kansas so if anyone is interested, just let me know, maybe if I get enough interest I'll see about having an AICN B-B-Q or something and get totally snoakered drunk

Oh man, that's too bad, sounds like it's going to be interesting convention and the "real" Jericho, aka Oakley is only liek a couple 1,000 people so I know this is a big deal to them. I'm wondering if those that go aren't possibly going to see some cool footage of the new season. I'm going to try and send another email about it as it gets closer to the date, for some reason I think AICN thinks that if they let people know in advacne of any convention not named BNAT that we'll forget, but I know I need to make plans when I goto a convention and stuff. If anyone needs to or wants to reach me about this, you can do so at erboert@nwkansas.comthat's my work e-mail so please don't spam me
