two networks combine to create weakest lineup ever

    by johnnysunshine

I thought combining the two networks was supposed to create a better network, but that is weaker than any lineup wb or upn had in the last decade. I guess Supernatural's kind of cool sometimes, but that's about the best i can say for this. Damn, they used to have so much great stuff..,

    The CW Boycott

    by xsedrake

The CW had an opportunity to revive Veronica Mars, and I'm glad to see so many Veronica Mars fans swear off the CW completely. NBC and CBS both earned my respect and my loyalty by keeping/reviving shows Jericho and Friday Night Lights. I know I am not alone when I say I won't watch another thing on the CW. Should be interesting to see if the loyal viewership of Veronica Mars is enough to sink struggling network!

...when there's nothing to watch in the first place? I'll catch Smallville on netflix like I have with every other season, and I'll give Reaper three episodes like I gave Supernatural.... but it'll either be crap or it'll get cancelled... Fuck CW.

    Smallville and Supernatural are good

    by liljuniorbrown

They have weak moments but they are decent tv. I think Reaper could be ok if done right but combined with Supernatural it could be overkill in that genre.

    by aicmb

    Fuck the CW sideways.

No VMars? The remaining programming fails to even remotely DISTRACT me, much less interest or entertain me. I will make it a point to ignore any and all of their sponsors products and services.

    by danielkurland

Wouldn't have given this show a second thought, but I saw that it has the very good comedic actor who starred in the Loop, and then Ray fucking Wise as the devil, or some similar entity. Ray Wise is underappreciated in this business. But then again, they did get rid of Veronica Mars...

    another brain dead character?

    by voodoov

When are they going to stop just rehashing the comics? And why does she look like she just came from the mall and not Krypton? Oh wait, is it because she wasn't raised by the morally superior Ma and Pa Kent and thus doesn't have Clark's moral righteousness? Wait..let me guess, Clark won't know she's his cousin right? so they have another stupid excuse for Clark and Chloe to not hook up? Oh yeah, love the blue and red theme to her and Clark's outfit. Cuz I'm completely stupid and couldn't figure out that they're Superman and Supergirl unless they're constantly wearing blue and red clothes to remind me? oops, I forgot again, good thing the clothes were there to remind me.

cant wait for smallville and supernatural to come back...smallville has always been great, cept for lana, cant stand her, wish they would really kill her off instead of just teasing us.. and hate to burst anyones bubble, but VM wasnt that great, and i doubt the "viewership" will bring down the CW ..and what struggle is there really ?? and if the CW does collapse, u should all be scared what would emerge in its place....at least they finally killed that maggot ridden crap that was called 7th heaven...amen (no pun intended)

Boycott CW? For VM??? Really? REALLY???

    by pdnoosh

Pleeeeease. I loved the first 2 seasons of VM, but when the quality dropped like it did in S3 and the numbers flatlined accordingly, I was smart enough to realize that its cancellation was akin to a mercy killing.

    Smallville

    by bubba gillman

Like most other shows, can be hit or miss. Admittedly, some episodes are completely forgetable. But when it's on, it can be pretty darn good. What geek couldn't love the final scenes of the season finale? "I'm like you, only a bit more...bizarre."

    Boycotting CW is retarded.

    by deathpool

If VM brought in more cash, then it would have stayed. Simple as that. I'm not arguing its artistic merit, but this is network television. Besides, at least CW took a chance on the show and put it on the air at all. Without them you might not even have VM at all. Why not boycott NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX for not picking it up? So because you didn't get your way, you're going to selfishly refuse to watch, perhaps depriving yourself of enjoyable television which could lead to another show being canned from low ratings. Way to be a douche.

    Have to agree w/ Deathpool

    by my pretty pony

I used to watch VM, but the show only got weaker and weaker. It had 3 years to grab a bigger audience, but just never caught on. How could The CW justify not cancelling the lowest-rated drama on prime time? From what I'm hearing, they may have much better success w/ "Reaper", "Aliens in America" & "Gossip Girl", though "Gossip Girl" is not something I'd ever watch. As long as "Supernatural" & "Smallville" are still on, I won't stop watching The CW. "Supernatural" is not only the best show on that network, it's one of the best shows on TV. Why isn't there a talkback to discuss the new characters that are being added to "Supernatural"?? That's at least as interesting as Supergirl coming to "Smallville"...Speaking of SMV, this may not be the last season. They could do one more. As far as I know, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) & Kristin Kreuk (Lana) are the only cast members who have said they are leaving after season 7. Tom Welling is already signed on for season 8.

    Ok, ok, I will admit...

    by shermdawg

I did enjoy bits of the prequels. R2 repairing the ship while the other droids were getting fucked up. Of course I knew he was gonna survive, but I swear I teared up during that moment, and thats strangely the only time I did that for any of the Star Wars flicks. In Attack, I loved just about everything to do with the second assassination attempt on Padme, all the way up to Jango escaping. I wish they had spent more time investigating the underbelly of Coruscant, I also wish that Ewan and Hayden could fucking act. Say what you will about the shitty dialogue, ROTJ had it too, but at least Ford and the gang made the characters likeable...well, maybe not Fisher. (Yes, I just dissed Leia.) Also I thought the Clone army rescue was neato, as well as Anakin on the swoopbike. Revenge? Only two things I like in that one. The Flower planet, where the conehead jedi bit it, and Grievous. Yes, I like Grievous. Sue me. In fact, next to the scene with R2, he was the best thing in the prequels.

I agree, I never liked Erica Durance and I'm not liking this Vandervoort girl. They shouldnt have introduced Lois at all, she has nothing to do but hinder the plot and Supergirl casting is boring and obvious. I keep saying to myself, maybe she'll look good in motion. Here's hoping.I did not like most of S6, I feel Smallville is just getting worse and worse. At least Chloe and Lex are still good. If only this show had good writers.P.S. That Twi'lek chick was hot and was taken out in a lame way. Plus Grievous was only good in Clone Wars, ROTS completely pussified him!

    aliens in america

    by the real mirajeff

and everybody hates chris will be the only shows worth watching on this channel, the aliens pilot is sweet and charming and adhir kalyan, the actor who plays raja, the pakistani foreign exchange student, is an excellent find. Him and Hills Have Eyes' Dan Byrd have good chemistry together and the show's writing handles the sometimes tricky racial humor deftly enough. could be a sleeper amid an overhyped fall where all eyes will be on nbc to pull itself from the ratings ashes

    Smallville = "Ultimates" Superman

    by kage

Yes, Smallville continues to reach new heights of ridiculousness. Where as I once enjoyed it for it's respectful spin on the Superman Mythology (seasons 1-3), it's obvious now they've thrown that respect out the window entirely. To my surprise, however, this has not totally ruined my enjoyment of the show and I now view Smallville as a sort of "Ultimates" version of Superman: where Clark is not destined to put on the iconic costume and where all the players are the same but the circumstances are juggled (i.e. Lois in Smallville). This delusion makes she show's liberties tolerable and often enjoyable. As long as the writers continue to have fun with it I imagine I will, too.

re: the stupid people of the world don't get it (lost)

    by _maltheus_

    Do you mean the writers?
As for the CW, they've really fucked things up. There was a time when I was watching the WB and UPN more that the other networks combined. But watch out, here comes the CW, we'll fuck up both networks in six minutes.
As for Smallville, not caring for this new chick. Never liked Durance after they brought her on full time. And Lana has amazingly improved for me last season cause she's no longer so retarded anymore. She should have known Clark's secret years ago, given all she's been through. And given how hot she is, I've been looking for an excuse not to hate her character. Still miss Papa Kent, it's nice to have some characters on TV that aren't so rotten.
