Spoilers For DEXTER 2.X??

"Dexter" returns to Showtime with a second season Sept. 30.
“Nochez,” an untested spy, claims to have seen that season’s first two episodes. Beware potential uninvisotexted spoilers. Here’s his rundown:
Aloha, from O'ahu. I didnt see anything yet about this so thought i would send in and maybe get on coaxial. I just saw the first two eps of Dexter. I was looking forward to sept and was happy as hell to see these early. ill start with the generals and go to spoilers after so u have a chance to get out. the title sequence is the same. theres a full recap of last season which got me a little goosepimply about 2 eps right away. it takes place starting 38 days after dexter killed the ice truck/ brother killer. everyones back as far as i can tell. sis is just as hot even tho she aint dressed like a hooker this time. the asian buddy forensic guy is on point and doakes is harder on his ass than ever. its gonna be a great season. now for spoilers. u have been warned.
dexter kills no one in the first episode. hes is on a bowling team called bowl till you bleed. sis is living with him trying to get past her fiance's personality disorder. glen plummer from fresh and speed is a voodoo guy that has been poisoning people so that his curse works. dexter pussies out for the first time and lets him go. oh yeah, hes blind by the way. dexter has a flashback of almost shooting his dad and almost busts a nut when his dad makes him feel his heart to show dexter how scared he was. next theres a gang killing with a machete(awesome). dexters there and the mother of the victim gives him a perfect storm of getting his killer instinct back. he takes down a 6'9" mexican but doesnt saran wrap him enough and he gets away. ritas ex is begging for her to own up to the boot from the yard to back up his appeal. i hate that guy. right after that, a couple of treasure hunters find(huger spoiler here) dexters stash of bodies in the ocean. thats the end of ep1. man i love this show. youre on your own for episode two.

Can't wait for season 2. Sometimes it really does move too slowly, but 95% of the time it's an excellent character study with some great dark humor.

Well done, and not action-packed. excellent character work: both the writing and Michael C Hall combine to make Dexter funny, savage, vulnerable, dangerous, admirable and reprehensible at the same time.

to be even better than the first. Those first 2 episodes were fantastic. Whereas the first season was based on a Dexter novel, the second is to be completely original. Can't wait to see how/if they leave it open for a third season.

couldn't resist downloading them, both still as excellent as the first series, one of my favourite shows now. That I actually felt sympathy for the giant machete killer before he died shows the quality of the script and performances. Unfortunately now I have to wait ages for episode 3.

The books were better, the second surprisingly so.
Is season 2 totally divergent from the second book?

Incredible show, great writing, great cast/acting, outstanding production value.

..because even though the first book tracks Season one, the endings are completely different. I just finished the second book in less than a day - incredible stuff. It is amazing how all these characters on the show, even the minor ones, absolutely nailed their parts from the novels. The third book comes out in about 2 months....wonder if it will track season 2???

The series if FAR superior than the books (which are still good) I hope they DON'T follow book, besides several elements from it were used in season 1. Keep the Doakes subplot at least, and all will be good for season 2.
Micheal C Hall got robbed of a Grammy nod, but screw the Grammy's anyway, a total waste. -
The first was a tad weak. But I think it dealt more effectively with the characters. The second book was much better.
I wish they had treated many of the characters the same way they did in the books, especially Doakes. -

Dexter needs one episode where you see him do the entire gory kill and carve. Right now that aspect is really just alluded to. It doesnt need to be there every time but they should make Dexter's sickness more real. Right now the show is a bit too cuddly. I guess this is similar to complaints in mid-sopranos that they were letting Tony et al. seem a little too nice. Dexter is a psychopath. Let us be scared of him a little bit.

I laughed and was mostly pleased with how much it still felt like DEXTER. I think it's going to be a great season.
