if you saw last week's ep, methinks Shelia had tommy autograph something for her new boy so she could duplicate his signature somehow and cheat him out of money.

    by strabo

I loved Tommy's/Leary's rant at the beginning of the episode. Tommy's and Lou's defense of Jerry's decision is impressive. That always pisses me off about people who think that committing suicide is an act of cowardice. It's not your life, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    How hard is it to air two hours of a show after all this? I don't care when, run it at fucking 4am as long as it's in HD. I'll watch it. Anything is better than whatever .wmv realmedia quicktime whatever the fuck they have. I don't even feel like trying. o_O;

No shit. I'd love to watch these, but their requirements are outrageous. It was bad enough having to enable cookies, javascript, iframes, and disable Adblock, but the second it said anything about installing software, I just said "oh fuck this" and closed the page. I'll wait 'til someone strips the DRM and throws it on Newsgroups. Do you hear me, Fox? These requirements are idiotic and counterproductive. They won't stop people from copying these videos, and all they do is limit your potential audience. No DRM has ever worked. If you don't realize that, you're morons, and you're going to continue pissing money away on shit that doesn't work.

This show had so much potential.

    by fanboy71

Too bad fux is too focking stupid to see that. Watching Fillion in bad ass mode was great though. Too bad this series didn't make fux the amount of money that American idiot show does in it's first three weeks. The X-Files took awhile to catch on... remember that. Thanks the gods the same hatchet men who prematurely cancelled Firefly and Drive weren't around back then.

The first season of Rescue Me started out well, I thought. It kind of became soap opera-ish in the second half though. I wasn't particularly fond of it. The second season was more of the same...until Tommy's son was killed by a drunk driver. That's when they really ratcheted up the drama. It's a great show now. Almost as enjoyable as The Shield.

    Wow, Fox, Thank you!

    by l.h.puttgrass

Now take your Myspace page and SHABBITTUP YOUR ASS!! Why the fuck does a NETWORK have a Myspace page? Isn't fox.com YOUR space? What, you need more space? Not enough on your .com? What's up with your link on fox.com/drive? Says I'm going to Fox Direct and I end up on the Myspace page. I guess you want me to jump though some hoops and download that player to watch shows 5 & 6? And I'm sure that six shows into a season that would have ran to 22 to 24 episodes will tie things up nicely. Why didn't you use a mediaplayer that everyone has already? Quicktime would've been nice. Shit, I give up! I'm not putting mystery-ware on my computer just to see 1 1/2 hours of a TV show that still won't end in a happy way. Shabbit, Fox! SHABBIT right up there!

Rescue Me is not the Shield, by any stretch, but it is (was) a damn good show. The first two seasons i thought were great. Its been kind of treading water lately but i still really enjoy it.

Fillion made this; most of ensemble cast lacking

    by charon

Script or acting skills aside, the times Fillion was onscreen made it at least entertaining and somewhat believable. Some decent characters as the other drivers, poorly executed on almost every level. Too bad, I don't think I can go for Desperate Housewives S5(?) for Fillion's next career move. I think he needs to pull a Bruce Campbell and go the indie and subculture route, but with better acting.

as for the last 2 eps, having just watched them

    by charon

finally a little payoff. too little, too late? apparently for FUX. kind of surprised they'd bury these two episodes, but then again not really considering the source.

After the first 10 minutes of catch-up, it was good to see a lot of the character work finally start to gel (Dylan Baker particularly, did good before with 2-D character, definitely steps it up as the story progresses).
How tailored are these new-season shows? If the opening soundtrack song is any indication, these series are doomed to fail before the next season hits (as in earth-orbital season, not 'television' season). I can't say how much time it takes to 'finesse' a show before it's ready for prime-time, anybody in the Biz know how long this show gestated before hitting air? Scripts finalized before shooting? With a little more fermentation, this show could have been workable. As is, it's like the Night Train of shows, put to the shelf before its time...
