HEROES!! BIONIC!! LIGHTS!! OFFICE!! ROCK!! SCRUBS!! NBC Fall Premiere Dates And Schedule Shifts!!
I am – Hercules!!
The NBC Monday, Tuesday and Friday night schedules announced by ex-entertainment head Kevin Reilly two months ago? Forget them. New schedules were announced this morning by incoming entertainment chiefs Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff.
Notable changes:
* “Chuck,” the hot new sci-fi secret-agent hourlong from “OC” mastermind Josh Schwartz, has been moved to Mondays at 8 p.m., where it will serve as lead-in to “Heroes” and the surprisingly good freshman time-travel saga “Journeyman.”
This essentially turns NBC’s Monday into an all-sci-fi night.
* “Chuck” takes over the slot held by “Deal or No Deal.” “Deal” now replaces “1 Vs. 100” on Fridays. “1 Vs. 100” appears to be off NBC’s fall schedule for the time being.
* “The Singing Bee,” meanwhile, has joined the fall schedule, where it will be paired with 90-minute editions of “The Biggest Loser” on Tuesdays.
* “Friday Night Lights” will be on one hour earlier (9 p.m. Friday), thanks to swapping slots with “Las Vegas,” which moves to 10 p.m. Friday.

BURBANK – July 16, 2007 – NBC launches its season premieres the week of September 24. The network will adjust its schedule by moving the new comedic spy thriller "Chuck" to Mondays (8-9 p.m. ET) – followed by switching the popular Monday version of "Deal or No Deal" to Fridays (8-9 p.m. ET), and shifting "Friday Night Lights" to an earlier new time of 9-10 p.m. (ET) and " Las Vegas" to 10-11 p.m. (ET).
In addition, NBC will expand "The Biggest Loser" to 90 minutes on Tuesdays (8-9:30 p.m. ET) and will have a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Summer's newest hit, "The Singing Bee" (which premiered earlier this month), will have its Fall premiere on Tuesday, September 25 (9:30-10 p.m. ET).
NBC's premiere week will also feature one-hour episodes each of "My Name Is Earl" (8-9 p.m. ET) and "The Office" (9-10 p.m. ET) on Thursday, September 27 and a two-hour episode premiere of "Las Vegas" on Friday, September 28 (9-11 p.m. ET).
The announcements were made by Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, and Marc Graboff, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.
"We can't wait for the new season to begin and we believe that these programming changes will allow for a powerhouse Monday night with 'Chuck,' 'Heroes' and 'Journeyman,'" said Silverman. "On Tuesdays, the 90-minute 'The Biggest Loser' has always performed well and will fit perfectly with our new summer hit 'The Singing Bee.' On Fridays, we can hammock 'Friday Night Lights' between two proven hits – 'Deal or No Deal' and 'Las Vegas,' with new cast member Tom Selleck."
Said Graboff: "We like that we can start our season off strong with hour-long episodes of such comedy favorites as 'Earl' and 'The Office.' Coupled with the dynamo of 'Sunday Night Football,' we will have a very potent fall lineup and these schedule adjustments will only make us stronger."
All of NBC's primetime entertainment series will bow during the week of September 24 with the exception of "The Biggest Loser" (Tuesday, September 11), "30 Rock" (Thursday, October 4), "Friday Night Lights" (Friday, October 5) and "Scrubs" (Thursday, October 25).
In addition, "Deal or No Deal" will premiere on Monday, September 17 (8-9 p.m. ET) -- one final time in its previously announced day and time before moving to Fridays (8-9 p.m. ET) on September 28.
Likewise, "Friday Night Lights" was previously scheduled for Fridays (10-11 p.m. ET) and "Las Vegas" (9-10 p.m. ET) on the same night before swapping time periods.
On September 24, NBC tees up its new season on Mondays (8-9 p.m. ET) with "Chuck," a new hour-long series from executive producer Josh Schwartz ("The O.C.") and executive producer-director McG ("Charlie's Angels," "We Are Marshall"), who deliver a comedic spy thriller about Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. Then comes the much-anticipated second-season debut of "Heroes" (9-10 p.m. ET) as the epic ensemble drama centers on several ordinary people who possess extraordinary abilities.
Monday, September 24 will also serve as the premiere of the new drama "Journeyman" (10-11 p.m. ET). From Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Kevin Falls ("The West Wing") and Emmy Award-winning director-producer Alex Graves ("The West Wing"), "Journeyman" is a romantic mystery-drama about Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd, "Rome"), a San Francisco newspaper
reporter and family man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives.
Tuesdays mark the beginning of a new season of "The Biggest Loser" (8-10 p.m. ET) starting September 11 as the popular competitive weight-loss series boasts a few new twists. "The Singing Bee," introduced earlier this month, is hosted by Joey Fatone (*NSYNC) as it challenges contestants to not only sing a song – but compels them to sing the words
correctly. The variety-competition series will join the fall lineup on September 25.
The perennial favorite "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m.) jump-starts Wednesdays beginning September 25 with host Howie Mandel, whose provocative series title question: "Deal – or no deal?" – has become a national catchphrase. The new "Bionic Woman" (9-10 p.m. ET) stars Michelle Ryan ("EastEnders") as a young woman whose life is radically altered and empowered after a car crash as it debuts on September 25. Also on the same night, the new drama "Life" (10-11 p.m. ET) features a complex police detective (Damian Lewis, "Band of Brothers") who's given a second chance on the force after serving years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
"My Name Is Earl" (8-9 p.m. ET) and the Emmy Award-winning "The Office" (9-10 p.m. ET) will break out of the gate in a big way on Thursday, September 27 as each premieres with an hour-long episode. The 14th season debut of "ER" follows (10-11 p.m. ET).
The two-hour premiere of "Las Vegas" (9-11 p.m. ET) will follow the new Friday-night "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m. ET) on September 28.
As it did during last fall, "Football Night in America" (7-8 p.m. ET) and "Sunday Night Football" (8-11 p.m. ET) will dominate on autumn Sundays.

One about emoting zombies the other is quantum leaping into our hearts! But this Chuck show is a drama? The previews lead me to believe it was a comedy. Like the Man who knew too little
-
but thats ok
-
Donald Trump with bionics.
-
It is greatness...
-
And you all are whores for watching it.
-
My contribution was one that would have reverberate throughout history ... religions would have formed around its sacred tenets ... and now it is lost, and humanity is forced to suffer as a result. How can AICN live with itself?!?
-
I love the show, but seriously, actually having it on Friday nights isn't good. I don't see this lasting another season. I will watch it still, but it sucks because cancellation is pretty much inevitable. It's really a great show.
-
... man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives...
Never seen that before... -
NBC will have a new "must watch" night on their grubby little hands. Trust.
-
I hate high school football related anything, but that is one well written show. I'm glad they renewed it. That Peabody award probably had a big hand in that.
-
i think his pilot was called "babylon fields" and it didn't get picked up, which is a shame. He was my favorite part of Rome by far.
-
i'm shocked it isnt coming back midseason..wow...thats the only show i'll watch on that network so thats fun.
-
Why, NBC? He's kryptonite, a horse's ass and a five-alarm dickhead; Don Imus-esque. Post after post on the TV Guide.com talkback on his appearing on Bionic Woman of people saying they'll boycott the show since he's on it. Not the best way to usher in your most promising new show. Sackhoff will keep him in line, because she can cuss up a blue streak with the best of 'em (Cort and Fatboy interviews, anyone)?
-
Stupidity, thy name is The Singing Bee. All the Slushos in the world won't get me to change my mind. 2/3rds of NBC's Tuesday night is reality crapola horseshit. And a celebrity Apprentice? Yeah, I wanna see Rosie the O on there with her BFF.
-
FOX would have canceled The Office, Scrubs & 30 Rock after six episodes each, and would have moved Heroes to a new night every other week until the ratings slipped to the point where they canceled it too.
-
and boy could I have used your help with a few asshats in the 1-18-08 talkbacks talking abotu Voltron. I was forced, just a moment ago, to lecture one within an inch of his life. I would be surprised if he doesn't cry.also, I sold 2 scripts, did you hear? and I find out in September if I get to direct one (it's starting to look like no). and I'm spending the next couple months travelling to seattle, new york and mexico for different stuff.but I do wish I had a little mini-me, that would be pretty amazing, too...
-
it is a fantastic show and if there was any justice its return would never have been in any doubt due to its greys anatomy sized ratings.....
-
How the hells are ya? Good work on the script-selling!
Scion is doing most excellent. He has sold three scripts so far ;)
Dare I ask what the hubbub was with Voltron? And was it the Leonid Voltron or the Matchbox Voltron? -
The way I normally pronounce it is Kirth. The other way to pronounce it is Chrith.
-
With a larger set of testicles and no velvet mafia crap. I'd bet anything they offered it to Eccleston after his guest spot on Heroes and he probably laughed in their faces.
-
Don't forget showing it out of order Firefly-style or putting the multi-part series finale opposite the Olympics ala Arrested Development.
-
Seriously, can anyone think of a better final episode ever produced by HBO? Thus meaning anyone..... I love that you never know of Veronus died or not, and that line "About your father." Platinum baby
-
and you'll have to read the 1-18-08 talkbacks, the old one and the new one, to get it. although, that's about 3000 posts. so you might not want to.basically, there's a guy who STILL thinks the movie is about Voltron, even though he has no factual evidence, and everything tells him he's wrong.I SPANKED him, about his misuse of logic, etc. and then he said, "you obviously don't know about writing, etc.". I told him about being a writing teacher for years, oxford, the scripts, etc., and all he did was call me names. poor kid.glad to hear the scion is doing well. congrats!

I agree -- FNL is truly one of the greatest shows I've ever seen on broadcast television. I'm glad it gets a second season, even if it likely will be its last.
-
If Bionic Woman is up against Lost in the spring I'll be pissed. If BW is any good that is.
-
Does that sound oxymoron-ish to anyone else?
-
Twice!

"Chuck" - I dunno, I'll wait for the premiere before chiming in. Bionic vs. Lost is annoying, but at least I've got the hi-def dual tuner. The problem is - who comes first, hot bionic women or hot island women?
-
The first error those morons made was to make the show look like a shameless Sixth Sense rip-off in the promos--it actually was some pretty smart stuff, but I guess "smart" isn't a quality for working at NBC. Fuck your peacock up the ass, you nancy-boys.
-
that doll who played Zoe on Eastenders is suddenlythe Bionic Woman-what the fuck? And is Earl seriously an hour long now or is it just two back to back episodes?
-
the cast extolling the virtues of Scientology for a half hour.
-
from Panorama-he was class...every time you mention Hubbard in a bad light he randomly showes up in sunglasses and calmly accuses everyone in the room of being a sex offender and therefore not entitled to an opinion...brilliant-that guy should get his own show...
-
Mr Wonka is going to Mexico and New York? !!! MR WONKA MUST BE VOLTRON!!!!!!! Good luck sir. Always nice to hear about that kind of success in a very competitive industry.
-
I thought you guys were talking about the villain from the Avengers. But then I remembered that was Ultron. So, nevermind.
-
How in the hell am I supposed to watch FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS if I'm out enjoying my, ehm, Friday Night?!
This is total buzzkill. -
I'll watch the first couple of episodes...I'll really enjoy it...it'll get it's ass kicked in the ratings by CSI:Miami...it'll be pulled and "put on hiatus" by the second week of November sweeps...it'll never see 2008.
-
for me.
-
Doesn't it seem silly to anybody else that FNL is moving to the same time slot as its subject? I'd think most of their target audience won't be able to watch because they'll be busy at high school football games.
-
The shame of this season is that a lot of these shows sound like they might be really fun. I have to wonder how a JOURNEYMAN would have done on some cable channel where it has a snowball's chance. What would CHUCK have been like on USA Network? BIONIC WOMAN may well prove to be the first "surprise" casualty of the season.
And for pete's sake, watch FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. WATCH IT. WATCH IT. WATCH IT. Great series.
-
Hot Bionic women. The hot island women have been around for a few seasons already. Plus I don't think they shower so often.
-
So much shit listed.
So many will die.
To bad you can't harvest the methane from all that crap.
Just how does bad television get sold? Is it like fucking an ugly chick? The more coke and booze the better she looks.
