ALL TICKETS ARE SPOKEN FOR! HAVE FUN YOU LUCKY CHICAGO WINNERS!!!

Hey everyone. A very busy Capone in Chicago here with you with a cool-as-hell screening opportunity for Chicago-area Ain't It Cool readers. I'm clearing the decks before I head down to Austin for a certain "celebrity" wedding, and I wanted to really make it tough on myself by running a contest just as I'm packing my best suit and flip-flops for the event.

Not only have we got a limited number of tickets to a screening of Danny Boyle's mind-blowing, sci-fi epic SUNSHINE on Monday, July 16, but I'll also be moderating a post-screening Q&A with Danny Boyle himself just to keep you on your toes. You can ask all the 28 DAYS LATER, MILLIONS, and TRAINSPOTTING questions you'd stored in your arsenal until now.

Since I need to wrap up this contest and get a list of winners together before I leave, all I want you to do is e-mail me at capone@aintitcoolmail.com and in 25 words or less, make your case for getting invited. Along with your begging, I need your full name (IDs will be checked when you get your passes at the door!) and the name of your guest.

Each pass is good for two people. If you don't include a guest's name, your entry gets tossed. Since this is not an Ain't It Cool event, seats are not guaranteed, which means you need to get to the theater EARLY. You'll be told where this screening is happening only if you win, but I can tell you it is happening in a venue in Chicago (none of this suburban nonsense).

These tickets will go fast, so most importantly don't enter if you're not 100 percent sure you can attend. Good luck, and I hope to see you Monday.

PICK ME and I'll ask Boyle

    by redjester

Why he sucks at endings so god damn bad!? I mean 28 days laters ending blew but this is just utter complete dogshite. It's almost like he intentionally ended the movie the dumbest way possible just to fuck with us and thereby turning what would otherwise have been an alltime classic into complete shit. And that's a hard thing to accomplish considering the only thing standing in this films way of being a classic is roughly 5-10 minutes at the end. Shame, a god damn shame.

Think of the way Hollowman ended and you'll get an idea

where this film goes wrong. Except this film was fucking great until the unkillable badguy keeps coming back and back and... whatever, I've officially spent way too much goddamn time talking about this shitfest of a film!

don't go into Sunshine expecting credible sci-fi.

    by amy chasing

The characters are juvenile, the group dynamics cliched, the story laughable and the philosophy buried under all this and the audience's inability to suspend their disbelief.

It has some pretty audio-visuals though. Just a pity the sun is the most enjoyable thing about it.

awesome use of atmosphere, return to 'Alien' '2001' I guess The Fountain also counts. Some shots are brilliant. Don't get the end, no Starscream.

highly enjoyable and a refreshing solid sci-fi film, in particular the music and sound is superb, which in itself well makes it worth the trip

    Agreed, it's a credible film...

    by redjester

...till the end. That's where it goes from great to a shitfest. Again as long as you go into the film expecting the movie to have the worst fucking ending of all time, than you'll enjoy 95% of the film like I did.

Its hard to take complaints about the ending seriously

    by lovecraftfan

I kept hearing about how bad the ending of 28 Days Later was until I saw it and it turned out to be quite good. I wonder if the same thing will happen here.
