Hey folks, Harry here... This past Wednesday - the original Alamo Drafthouse had its last night on Earth. The triple bill of THE BIG NIGHT, EARTHQUAKE and NIGHT WARNING was exactly the way to send the theater off. The first film came served with an Italian feast modeled dish by dish after the food served in the film itself. EARTHQUAKE had a ludicrous amount of sub-woofers brought in - and shook buildings for a block on all sides. A definite safety violation, an Alamo trademark. And Susan Tyrell was everything that the "Queen of the Universe" should have been during the Q&A for NIGHT WARNING. BUT - Quint is working up an amazing write up of the night. I'm kinda in denial that the place is gone, but Quint stayed till 6am, watching them cut the Neon Sign off the side of the building.... he's a masochist. Anyway - Quint in his recent travels set these two farewells up - and here they are... enjoy...
