Go Go Go!! NickToons Orders 26 Episodes Of A SPEED RACER Sequel!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
I am – Hercules!!
A “Speed Racer” sequel series, featuring a fast kid in a racing academy who discovers he’s the son of the original Speed Racer, will be roaring toward us on NickToons next year – just in time to capitalize on the Wachowski siblings’ new big-screen version.
And – get this – Speed’s son will also have a long-lost brother who becomes the new Racer X.
The project represents the third attempt to revive Japan’s 1967 “Mach Go Go Go” franchise for the little screen, following 1993's "The New Adventures of Speed Racer" and 2002's "Speed Racer X."

Yess i'm pissed! One of the best shows Nick Ever had (Original funny, action packed) Dosent even get to finish out it's allready produced series finaly, And yet these corprate assholes fall all over them selves to restart a franchise while old was in no means clasic. Or even that good. And so great shows like Danny Phantom are scrafised for crap like the 3rd Speed Racer Clone (OR clown take your pick)

Once again the 12-watt bulbs that actually pick up paychecks in Hollywood for being utterly tasteless retards strike again.What the hell is the point of this? If Warners is going to put out a big budget summer movie, obviously THAT'S what's going to now be on everyone's minds -- young kids in particular -- so it would only make sense to pick up on that momentum and tie yourself into that film's look and revised mythos.On the other hand if this is a licensing deal, where the two cannot intersect and must remain two different versions, then why the hell would you go with this totally lame ass "academy" concept? Just remake the original -- since THAT concept is what has lasted all these decades -- and simply deviate where you need to, in order to not step on the film's toes.Son of Speed. Academy. But still has a brother that become Racer X. GROAN! For crying out loud, where do I apply for one of these jobs where you actually get paid for foisting this kind of shit on the public?

Son of Speed Racer teams up with James Bond Junior, Popeye Junior, Goofy Junior, Pebbles, Bam-Bam, the Muppet Babies, Max Smart Junior and the kids from that I-spy reunion movie.

Those other two series were god awful. This one sounds like more of the same. For the love of all that is holy, at the very least make the new Racer X the son of the OLD Racer X instead of Speed's equally long lost son. C'mon! -
