VERONICA MARS: Season Four??

I am – Hercules!!
“I had a meeting with DC Comics last Monday and they want to do (Season 4) as a comic series," “Veronica Mars” mastermind Rob Thomas tells The Toronto Star. DC’s move may have been inspired by Dark Horse Comics’ new “Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season Eight” title, which has been burning up the sales charts. Thomas also offers his take on why The CW passed on another season of “Mars.” "At the end of the day [CW programming chief] Dawn Ostroff doesn't get to make the final call,” Thomas tells the Star. “Hers is an important voice in the room. But they're the little sister company of CBS. There was a pretty strong feeling that [CBS CEO] Les Moonves didn't want to do the show." CBS and Time Warner co-own The CW. The same article states that Thomas has accepted the position as showrunner on “Miss/Guided,” ABC’s upcoming Judy Greer sitcom about a guidance counselor who takes a job at her old high school. Thomas also reveals that the pilot he shot two weeks ago at his house with “Mars” star Enrico Colantoni is a dark comedy about Los Angeles caterers titled “Party Down.” He also has ideas for a romantic anthology series and a modern-day Western. (BTW, eveybody keeps writing to say the iTunes "Bitch Download Day" - with fans downloading the series finale of "Veronica Mars" in a show of economic might - is still on today, despite the "Mars" cancellation news. Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. PT, the episode shot up from #60 to #35 on the iTunes "top TV download" chart. I, for one, am willing to spend another $1.99.) Read all of the Star’s story here.
