Donald Trump Tells Variety: 'Two Other Networks Have Said They Want' THE APPRENTICE!!

“Two other networks have said they want it," Donald Trump tells Daily Variety, apparently referring to “The Apprentice.”
CBS and Fox? ABC and The CW? Trump does not elaborate in Josef Adalian’s Friday-morning story.
When NBC announced its fall schedule two weeks ago, “The Apprentice” wasn’t part of the peacock network's sprawling press release.
But Ben Silverman, the 36-year-old producer who was involved in bringing “Ugly Betty,” “Identity,” “Celebrity Cooking Showdown,” “The Tudors,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Coupling,” “The Office” and “Nashville Star” to American television – and was named the new NBC Entertainment co-chairman on Wednesday - apparently sees some potential in continuing “The Apprentice.”
According to Friday morning’s Variety, NBC’s option on Trump’s reality series was due to expire Friday, June 1, but now won’t expire until June 8.
Also according to the story, Trump says he is “really impressed” with NBC’s Silverman.

Seriously, could The Apprentice LA finish have had less drama? They stop at a final four and the last task is a make-an-ad challenge that came across as a standard run of the mill challenge? Where's the run-a-big-event final challenge??? I would bet money they had originally planned to do an "event" round. Then they had that event with three teams of two promoting Trump's Vegas building where two of the teams utterly bungled the task. At that point I could see Trump getting nervous about trusting most all of them to run a big event and deciding, yeeeah, let's skip that round. But without the event round...zzzzzzzzz...

Trump was probably approached several seasons ago, during a contract renegotiation, but typical Trump truth-bending, fails to mention this. This story completely pisses me off, The Apprentice's fall from grace had given me some small hope that we might finally be moving away from the whole reality TV craze, and then this asshole wants to keep it going. What's next? Cut the budget on Heroes? You know, because nobody watches those silly dramas. What a prick!

He is going to have a hard time lying his way out of this one. you can file for bankruptcy and lie and call it something else like, "restructuring". But when a show gets canceled theres no way around it. it got canceled because no one watched it and it had terrible rankings. period. you cant bend your way out of this one, crap-for-hair Trumpo.
I think there should be a a show were the Trump, the rosie, and mike moore are dropped into a volcano. thats all the show is. but they drag it out really long, edit it terribly and do everything in slow motion so it fills 23 eps. i would watch that. i'd watch that all day long. -

Trump opts to fire James (despite the MULTIPLE times the motherfucker lead his team to victory) b/c of some comments in favor of the plain girl who did NOTHING; shit she never even lead her team once! Granted THE APPRENTICE never really had any legitimacy (except for the brillantly entertaining first season!) As for my comment(s) eariler, I DO beleive Trump when he talked about Barbara Walters telling him in private that she hated O'Donnell and couldn't control her.

... you have to admire his abilities as a salesman. He sold this shitty reality show to America for years. I tried to watch "The Apprentice" a few times, but the contestants always come off like real douchebags. Although I can kind of see the attraction for watching people that you hate get fired week after week.

Trump calls it a "12 week interview", but all it is, is a bunch of marketing tests. There really isn't anything that I've seen that tells me that these people can help a business other then in a marketing role. Everything has some marketing aspect to it. It is crazy, it makes the show just plain stupid and dull.

Donald Trump always comes off to me as the most obnoxious person on television. The dude even made Rosie seem sympathetic. I love NBC this year; they renewed all their best shows (Heroes, Office, and Friday Night Lights) and cancelled this reality garbage.
