Poster for the OMEN-esque Sam Rockwell flick, JOSHUA, hits the net!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. My biggest regret from Sundance 2007 was missing this film. From Sam Rockwell, Vera Farmiga and the director of HELL HOUSE comes one of Rav's favorites from the fest. We almost always saw the same movies, but I was probably at an interview or got a hold of a single ticket for one of the regular festival (ie non-press) screenings when this one ran. I just could not fit it into my schedule and I'm kicking myself now.
Rav loved it (CLICK HERE TO READ HIS REVIEW!) and from the sounds of things, this flick would have been so up my alley. A quirky, OMEN-like flick... starring Sam Rockwell? Yep, my alley is definitely interested. Thank the movie gods that Fox Searchlight picked it up, so we'll be able to see this one in theaters July 6th. Like The Good Son without someone as precocious as Mac. Looking forward to this one, if only cuz Rockwell and Farmiga are both pretty solid. If Eli decides to remake The Bad Seed, this should be the atmosphere he goes for. Tough opening against Transformers but this should make for good counterprogramming. And I really like that poster and its tagline. Scary stuff.

doesn't have me sold, looks like...I don't know. It's not spoky enough to be horror yet not not family friendly looking enough to lure people with that premise. It's not a bad poster, beatiful in fact, just I don't know something seems...off about it.

One of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Green Mile, Matchstick Men, Stole the show in Galaxy Quest, I am looking foward to him in Brad Pitt Jesse James pic. Would love to see him as John Dillinger.

actually pretty cool. I saw it at Sundance and thought it was a great. A very good blend of Dark comedy and horror. One minute your laughing your ass off the next your cringing.
