30 ROCK!! HOUSE!! SMALLVILLE!! Barney Fife at $19.12/Season!!!! Herc’s Season-Box DVD Vault!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
“Well, I guess to sum it up you could say there's three reasons why there's so little crime in Mayberry. There's Andy. And there's me. And (pats holstered Colt .38) baby makes three.” -- Mayberry deputy sheriff Bernard Fife
I am – Hercules!!

The Andy Griffith Show
is the best sitcom of the 1960s. It’s true Don Knotts left the franchise after season five – but he still won Emmys for guest appearances in the series’ final three seasons. There were also shotgun-toting hillbilly Briscoe Darling, rock-lobbing mountain man Ernest T. bass, the blonde Fun Girls (Skippy and Daphne) from neighboring Mt. Pilot and the self-incarcerating drunk Otis Campbell.
The new set
, which includes the episode of “The Danny Thomas Show” that introduced sheriff Andy Taylor as well as the 1986 TV-movie “Return to Mayberry,” sells for $152.99
, which works out to only $19.12 per season or 62 cents per episode – a big reduction on the $225.49 being charged for previous, less-inclusive complete-series set.

Insano-Cheap 69% OFF O.C., Bitch!!
Two weeks ago Amazon was selling the first season of “The O.C.” for $51.99. Right now DeepDiscountDVD has the first and second seasons for $40 and the third season for $25.87.
Amazon’s prices as I type this:
$21.99 The OC: The Complete First Season
$21.99 The OC: The Complete Second Season
$22.99 The OC: The Complete Third Season
I don’t recall Amazon ever discounting those extra-crammed supersized (27 episode) first season adventures of Seth Cohen to below $50 before, let along to less than $22. I actually don’t recall seeing “OC” that cheap anywhere (and I’ve been looking for it)! Do not expect those prices to last!

Damn, what a shock. Fox cancelled yet another terrific show.
-
AAAAHHHHHH! What the hell! Somebody call an ambulance! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
-
did i miss it somewhere in there?
-
sure did
-
me vomiting in my mouth just a tiny bit...
-
What the frell's up with that?
-
At long last a release date for the complete 2nd season of avatar. Hopefully this means the 3rd season should be airing shortly.

I wish they'd get a move on with the Simpsons sets
by franklin t marmoset
What do they put out, two a year? Come on, sellers of Simpsons-related merchandise - get your asses in gear! Some of us have money burning holes in our pockets!
-
The link only takes me to buy the UK Region 2 dvd of the show. And I can't find a single listing anywhere for a US release. Guess I'll just have to wait longer for official US releases of Big Train and Spaced.
-
Fuckin A!
-
If it has Newsradio-caliber commentaries, I must have it.
-
and didn't see it in the article. Unless i missed it. Which is possible

All the good seasons of The Simpsons are already out...
by osmosis jones
...so why complain about the slow-assed releases of the remaining crappy seasons? I stopped collecting at season eight.
-
is simply the best sitcom of all time. Lucy gets the Love (hee get it I made a funny), but Andy had the quality and the consitiancy. It's kind of like in rock and rol, Elvis gets the attention is "the king" blah blah blah, but when it comes down to it, Jerry Lee Lewis, bill Halye, Roy Oberison, Johnny Cash, etc will always be better.
-
had so much potential, great show that really got into its stride quickly, but not quick enough for fox where it cancelled the show after 4 eps. its also vastly superior to how i met your mother which started at the same time
-
Were they responsible for "Rick Around the Click" and "Hey Attractive Lady"?
-
You know, the 1987 series based on the awesome Mike Grell comic book series JON SABLE, FREELANCE? Starred Lewis Van Bergen and Rene Russo?
Not ringing any bells, hunh? Well, I tried...
-
It's about time they did a legitimate release of the Fleisher's.
-
Grell's "Jon Sable: Freelance" was fantastic. It always seemed to demand a live-action treatment. Too bad the series didn't last, but I'd love to be able to revisit it on DVD. How about that 90's era series that ripped off it's entire premise (minus costumes) from the DC Vigilante comic? Anyone remember that one?
-
Finally. Somthing to tide me over until Season 2 starts.
-
bite me jeez lou freaking ise I make a copule of spelling errors because you know TB aint got no edit feature and it's first thing in the morning for me, so againbite me
-
Take it as a compliment that someone read and responded to your post.
-
Finally something to tide me over until the next season starts!
-
Gotta love the World Stare-out championship. That's a proper sport.
-
was just added at Sept. 11.
-
And I've fixes the link to prove it.
-
I just got back to work today from camping in the Colorado Rockies and well was a litle cranky this morning. it's all cool sorry I got a little defensive, I'm sure you know how picky about spelling some of the AICN talkbackers can be.
-
i was hoping for a discount on the older seasons. i haven't bought any since season 3.
-
I'ld kiss ya. Big Train is one of the funniest and completely insane brit comedies since Monty Python. Where else can you see the Bee Gees in the 1800's in an old west shoot out with Chaka Kahn?
-
Never before has the mighty double exclamation point been so painfully inadequate.
-
Voting with your wallet and whatnot. That's capitalism in action!Me, I still like The Simpsons. It might not be what it once was, but it's still pretty funny, and I'd like the more recent seasons on DVD.
-
full set no fucking slackoff bullshit where they reedit the soundtrack just to make an extra buck shell out the money and you WILL get your money back. you bastards.
-
I have a season 1 of Twin Peaks for sale!!!!
Just kidding. I am not getting rid of that thing. I waited 4 years for season 2 to come out. DAMN YOU LYNCH!
I can't wait for that $100 HD-DVD season one of Heroes though! -
What about season 2 of Supernatural?? That also comes out on September 11.
-
be reborn as a series called "Smallville".
-
...because your mother didn't love you enough
-
August, man...oh well, I can't wait...
-
I bought the R2 version a couple years ago. Any Simon Pegg/Spaced fan owe it to themselves to get it. Like any sketch comedy its got hits and misses, but overall it's totally worth it. Even the not so funny sketches are very watchable because of the fantastic cast. Kevin Eldon, Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julie Davis, and Rebecca Front are all hilarious. Look for the "wanking" and "birth mother" sketches on youtube. Great Stuff.
