John Cusack and Sam Jackson stare you down in the final 1408 poster! Check it out here!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I love this story by Stephen King and the trailer kicked a ton of ass. This could be an amazing movie.
Now here's the new poster. It's fine in terms of slick studio designs. It'll do its job, but I'd love to see a crazy exploitationy poster for this movie, something that hints at the variety of horrors we'll see in this flick. Something new, something different. Maybe we'll still get this. For now, here's the big 1408 poster! Click on the image for the super-big version!

Whoopee.
-
Too little, too late.
-
oops, wrong room-number
-
It'll blend right in with the other 7 out of 10 movies featuring the same cover.
-
both were instant classics, so how can this miss??? ...yea right
-
excited about!!!
-
...or something to that effect? Muthafucka gets top billing.
-
13. scary.
-
Hey Harry WTF? What was up with that teaser? Fake?
-
I guess there's no such thing as originality anymore.
-
when Sean Connery gets top billing for literally 5 minutes of screen time. I hope Sam the Man is more of a force in this than what early reviews have been saying. I hates me that false advertising bullshit. Looking forward to this nonetheless.
-
As opposed to the lighthearted, whimsical romp by Stephen King.
-
I actually like that poster. I mean, what else could it be? Kind of harkens back to 80's horror. I like it-reminds me of the original lost boys cover for some reason.
-
Or any other poster with two stars sporting a half-face, side by side. Why is Sam even on the poster? From everything I've read he practically just has a cameo in this. Is Cusack not a bankable enough lead? And it's not like Sam Jackson has been box office gold in recent years.
-
but SAY ANYTHING is a classic.
-
Giant heads cut off by the margins and bisected with a pointy object in the middle of the image. Totally unimaginative shite.
-
23. That's even scarier.
-
..described so vividly in the book. Read the short story so you know what im talking about..
-
with the yellow and red and obligatory horror/serial killer movie poster 'grime' layer.
-
You know it to be true.
-
It's floating heads again, but it is well designed.
-
Plus the fact they're included in block of text, then repeated in big ass font. Average Joe doesn't give two shites who wrote this.
-
the poster. Love the tagline and like the mood it projects. And even though it doesn't look that great, it's nice to see some screenwriters get their due on a poster. I'm looking forward to this one. God knows they could both use a hit after Must Love Dogs on a Plane.
-
Looks pretty good.
-
I like it.
-
Why does Cusack appear to be 16 years old in this poster?
-
You know, this is a cover design you might see for a B horror movie...but the fact that its Cusak and Jackson (two pretty big names) makes it relelvant. I like it!
-
Bleh, kinda boring IMO...

When did that assclown MiraJeff get a black box?

Gimme a break
-
If yes, I boycott. As all the other teenie PG-13 bullshit.
-
You know that's what Jackson's thinking in this poster.
-
i guess he was in obscurity making this movie.
-
with these motherfuckin' ghosts in this motherfuckin' hotel room! :P
-
Whole movie set in a room. Bleh..
-
The white racist has to share a body with a Black football player as a two-headed monster? Oh, sorry. The poster had me confused. Reminded me of the "Thing With Two Heads".
-
and the director are mentioned again. are they that famous ? and dont we get it the first time around.... looking forward!"
-
Never noticed that before. Too tired to check out which came first. Either way, hats off to King or hats off to Miyamoto's localization team or hats off to coincidence.
-
that hotel doesn't use card keys. That would've really made this look dull.
-
who are the writers to get that kind of big font love? it's nice to see that though.
-
...i like it
-
I guess that makes Sam Jackson the male lead.
-
http://tinyurl.com/32jdkf all very "come with me now, constant reader..."
-
Looking forward to this one. It looks like a Twilight Zone episode. One of the good ones.
-
It just looks like endless "freaky" sequences. Sorta like that movie What Dreams May Come, where any one scene is beautiful and interesting but as a whole it's hallow.
-
I just hope it doesn't turn out wasted like Vacancy.
-
Sam Jackson doesn't impress me anymore unless he happens to be in Pulp Fiction 2: The Prequel. Second, I'm no fan of John Cusack at all. Although the Stephen King story intrigues me.
-
Hail the floating head!
-
Give me Saul Bass, any damn day.
-
"SAY WHAT AGAIN, SAY..WHAT..AGAIN, I DARE YA, I DOUBLE DARE YA MOTHERFUCKA, SAY WHAT ONE MORE GOD DAMN TIME!"
-
Or rather, this poster looks like one of those 24 movies Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd made together about serial killers. But the trailer did freak me out a good bit...glad Cusack gave up the mix tapes when his jowls formed.
-
Stephen King was.
-
is this short story in? I just finished reading "the cell" and really luvs me some king so Ill def check out the book this story is in. anyone know if Eli Roth is still slated to be possibly directing the movie version of the "cell". read it somewhere abotu a month ago but havent heard anything new about that one. maybe after hes done whoring himself out over hostel II something will be said about this one, who knows. I like some of the king movie adaptions but some are just. Also does anyone know if "the golden yrs" is on DVD? I remember seeing it on tv when it aired but havent seen it anywhere on dvd.
-
The only movies that have sported the Exploitation Poster and tone in the past couple of years (Grindhouse and Snakes on a Plane) have bombed horribly
........................
and Quint STILL wants more of the same? No wonder geeks are the minority...
-
I still say that Lisey's Story was King's best in years. True, the climax seemed ripped from Rose Madder (a very, very horrible book), the rest of the story was very well written indeed.
