Video game adaptation KANE & LYNCH takes another step towards the big screen!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. KANE & LYNCH isn't even out yet and it's not only been picked up for a feature adaptation, but it's now about to close a deal with a director. And it's not a cheesy director either. Jieho Lee did a film that I've heard good word about called THE AIR I BREATHE, with Kevin Bacon, Julie Delpy, John Cho, Forest Whitaker, Emile Hirsch, Brendan Frasier, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Andy Garcia.
That's still in the market, I think, but it's an interesting way to go. They're not going for a music video or commercial director first off... I guess that speaks to the strength of the story... or the deepness of Lionsgate's pockets. One or the other.
It does sound fun... CLICK HERE to visit the story I posted after it was announced Lionsgate got the game... there's tons of information about the game and links back to the official site of the video game...
I also got this image from my Lionsgate mole who has been filling me in on PUNISHER 2 stuff recently. I'm assuming it's a still from the game... whatever it is, it's pretty cool lookin'.

MAKE FUCKING ZELDA ALREADY! It could be like Lord of the Rings, except more frustrating. STUPID PUZZLES!
-
That does not look like it's from a game but might be a sorta publicity pic or something like they did with other games...be it Tomb Raider or whatever else
-
...That's right, laugh now, but you know Quantum Leap guy is the best choice...Dunno who'd be the other guy though...
-
On the right, under his hair. That is hitman, no doubt about it.
-
It looks like a cross between Heat/ Collateral with a touch of Inside Man which has to be a good thing. The makers have obviously been watching every top heist and aaction movie since the late 70's.

Harry kind of minced it unless they changed it. A criminal s tole alot of money from some big criminals and got caught. The Big Criminal hire a Psycopath to break him out of prison and they kidnap the guys family to get there money back. But there still going to kill the guy so he's damned if does and damned if he doesn't.

The game hasn't even come out and they have already picked up the rights to make it into a movie. Is their writing talent that poor that they have to resort to the gaming industry?
-
Heat without the burden of mainstream moral accountability.
-
Agent 47. Same gaming house. That makes this pending the success of the Hitman movie then right?
